Can i get a decent college with 55marks in clat pg 2019

Priya Dharshini N 11th Jun, 2019

Hey Mamta, If you belong to SC/ST category you chance of getting in to good Law colleges like Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ), Chanakya National Law University, Patna, National Law School and Judicial Academy, Assam, Guwahati, Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Aurangabad, Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai.

But you should score above 130 in CLAT as general category candidate which is a good score to get admission in top NLU's. Try next time if it doesn't turns out well this time. Never ever give up.

To be eligible for CLAT PG exams, I have to score an aggregate of approx 55% in all 5 years or the Aggregate % of last year will be counted?

Ankita Lachhwani 7th Jun, 2019

Helo Sourab

To be eligible for CLAT PG exams, the criteria is

  • An LLB degree or equivalent examination with a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent grade in case of candiate belong to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and 50% marks or equivalent grade in case for SC/ST canditates
  • Canditate appearing in qualifing examination are also eligible to apply
  • there is no upper age limit prescribed for CLAT2019

i am assuming that you are general candidate based on you query

So to be eligible to apply you have to score an aggregate of 55% of all 5 years

Hope this will be helpful

I have an NRI sponsored quota and am expecting around 40 -50 marks in my CLAT PG. what is the possibility of my admission?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 8th Jun, 2019

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 24000-27000. If you have NRI quota then the chances of getting an NLU or a college under IPU would be bleak but you can definitely check out colleges like

  • ICFAI Law school Hyderabad
  • MS Ramaiah college of law
  • Christ University Bangalore
  • IMS law college Noida

Apart from that you can check out the colleges you can get with your rank using the following link
