PU LLB Entrance Exam Tie-Break
If two or more candidates secure the same marks/rank in the entrance exam conducted for PU LLB admissions then tie-break in such a scenario would be done as per the below-mentioned criteria:
PU LLB Entrance Exam Merit List
Panjab University publishes PU LLB Merit List with names of candidates if they have attained at least 20% aggregate marks in the law entrance test taken as a whole. SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates meet this criterion if they have minimum 15% aggregate marks in the exam.
The final merit for PU LLB admission is computed by the concerned Department/Centre after taking into account the relative weightage for final merit for admission in respective courses. The relative weightage as applicable to the department/centres are as follows:
For LLB entrance exam- 50% for the qualifying exam and 50% for the entrance test.
The official website of PU LLB Entrance Exam informs: “Qualifying an Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to seek admission in a course. The candidate will have to fill up and submit an online Admission Form at Panjab University’s official website and has to meet the eligibility requirements of the course”.
It is -
Bachelor of Law - 300 (Morning session only)

Good Luck!!!
For UG law, the selection is based on PU CET BALLB entrance exam.
The name of the candidate shall be included in a Preliminary Merit List on the basis of attainment of a minimum of 15% (cut off) marks (10% Cut Off marks in case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class) in the Entrance Test. The paper is out of 100 marks. So 15 marks for Open Category and 10 marks for SC/ST.
There is no other cut off calculation given but for merit, the calculation is that 50% weightage is given to PU BA LLB Entrance Marks and 50% weightage is given to Class 12 marks.
You can download PU BALLB sample paper from here.
Good Luck.
PUCET is the university level exam for UG and PG courses like Bsc, pharmacy and BHMS courses but for law the exam is PU LLB/PU BALLB.
And also the exam is one for BALLB/BCom LLB. There is no change in the syllabus of the exam.

If you are planning for 3 years law programme from Punjab University then you need to appear PU LLb & if you are planning for 5 years law programm then you need to appear for PU BA LLb programme.
