Careers360: Tell us about your domain and your work profile. At the professional level, did you pursue the same field you were interested in or you switched?
Vasu Jain: I pursued the legal domain, which I was always passionate about. I completed my BBA LL.B (Hons.) from Geeta Institute of Law, Panipat, Delhi-NCR. Since then, I have remained aligned with the legal field—interning at reputed law firms and the District Attorney Office, Panipat. I’m currently preparing for government exams and simultaneously involved in legal research, content creation, and youth empowerment initiatives.
Careers360: Can you briefly tell us about your career path so far?
Vasu Jain: My journey started during college with participation in moot court competitions, seminars, and internships. I served in several leadership roles, which refined my professional outlook. After graduation, I completed internships at both private law firms and the District Attorney Office, Panipat. I'm now preparing for government competitive exams while also contributing to legal drafting projects and youth awareness programs under NGOs.
Careers360: Is the industry work different from what you learnt at Geeta Institute of Law?
Vasu Jain: The basics taught at Geeta Institute of Law were strong and relevant, but yes, the real-life legal world is more dynamic. However, thanks to the practical exposure—like moot courts, internships, and hands-on assignments—we were prepared to handle that transition smoothly.
Careers360: How do you think your time in college has added value to your life, both professional and personal?
Vasu Jain: College has been a turning point in my life. Professionally, it equipped me with legal reasoning, research, and drafting skills. Personally, it taught me leadership, public speaking, and most importantly, how to balance multiple responsibilities. The exposure I got during these years helped shape my confidence and purpose.
Careers360: What was your initial thought process when you joined Geeta Institute of Law?
Vasu Jain: I was determined to build a strong foundation in law. Geeta Institute of Law’s environment, faculty, and focus on both academics and co-curriculars assured me that I would get a holistic legal education—and I was right.
Careers360: You must have spent a memorable time at your College. Do you miss being a part of it? Share a few good memories.
Vasu Jain: I definitely miss it. Some of the best memories include late-night moot preparations, hosting legal workshops, and working with my peers on national-level events. Representing the college at various platforms and winning accolades was always fulfilling.
Careers360: Briefly take us through your life at the campus, the activities you used to do and your routine life.
Vasu Jain: My campus life was a mix of academics, leadership, and extracurricular activities. Besides regular classes, I was involved in organising legal events, participating in competitions, and mentoring juniors. I also co-founded Legal Eagle—a platform for law students to learn and grow beyond classrooms.
Careers360: Apart from academics, what were the other activities you were involved in and how did it enrich your life?
Vasu Jain: I was involved in organising seminars, legal awareness camps, and co-curricular competitions. I also actively worked with NGOs and held youth leadership positions. These experiences helped me understand ground realities, develop social responsibility, and build a strong professional network.
Careers360: How did you keep updated with the industrial requirements and what was the role of the institute in it?
Vasu Jain: Through continuous interaction with guest speakers, judges, and professionals invited by the institute, I stayed informed about the latest legal trends. Our internships and workshops were also designed to reflect current legal industry practices.
Careers360: You are a proud alumnus of this top College. What is the best part of Geeta Institute of Law from a student’s perspective?
Vasu Jain: The student-centric approach of the faculty, practical exposure through legal clinics and moot courts, and the overall nurturing environment make it stand out. The institute provides ample opportunities to grow beyond textbooks.
Careers360: What is your suggestion/guidance for the BBA LL.B aspirants?
Vasu Jain: Stay consistent and be curious. Focus on building a strong foundation in law, but also engage in real-world learning—through moots, internships, and social work. Never underestimate the power of networking and self-confidence. Your time in law school will shape your professional identity—make the most of it.
