The Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, will publish the MH CET Law counselling 2026 schedule on its official website. The schedule differs for both 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. The counselling of MH CET Law 2026 is held in multiple rounds online. Candidates are required to register for the counselling during the registration window. Before each CAP round, the CET Cell will release the merit list. Candiates will then be required to fill the choice filling form to specify their preferred colleges. The allotment of seats is done based on the candidate's preference and marks/rank obtained in MH CET Law 2026.

After three centralised counselling rounds, there is an institute-level round of MH CET Law 2026 counselling. The institute-level merit list for the MH CET 3-year LLB CAP round and MH CET 5-year LLB will be published on the official website, lllb3cap25.mahacet.org. Candidates whose names appeared in the merit list are required to report to the college for seat confirmation before the deadline. The CET Cell had earlier conducted three LLB CAP rounds. There are three LLB 5 years CAP round 2026 for admission into BA LLB, BCom LLB, and other 5-year integrated law programmes. The CAP process of MH CET Law 2026 counselling includes the following steps

Candidates have to pay the counselling fees for MH CET Law 2026. The LLB CAP registration fee is Rs. 200 in case there is a change in category from reserved to open category. If there is no change in category, there is no registration fee. The MH CET law counselling registration fee is Rs. 5000 for NRI candidates. Upon allocation of the seat, candidates have to pay a seat acceptance of Rs 1000,
The State CET Cell, Maharashtra publishes the MH CET Law merit list 2026 in online mode for each counselling round. Authorities prepare the merit list of MH CET Law 2026 based on the marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam. The merit list will be prepared separately for MS (Maharashtra State) and OMS (Other State) candidates. Candidates will be allowed the opportunity to raise objections against the merit list and submit their grievances.
Based on the merit list, authorities will publish the MH CET Law 2026 seat allotment. The seat allotment of MH CET Law 2026 would be done on the basis of merit cum preference. Candidates have to pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 1000 through candidate login. While accepting the seats, candidates can select either the "Freeze" or "Betterment" option. If a candidate has been allotted the first preference, then the candidate must choose Freeze. In case a candidate does not get the first preference, then the candidate can accept the seat and choose "Betterment" and still participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling. The MH CET Law seat allocation list will comprise the following details:

After the first round of seat allotment has been concluded, the CET cell will publish the list of vacant seats for admission. However, there are some rules for admission in the second round. The details are as follows:
Candidates who have been allotted the first option have to mandatorily choose freeze option in the first round of counselling cannot take part in the second round.
Candidates who choose the freeze option in the first round of counselling are not eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds.
Candidates who have been allotted a seat other than their first preference in the first round are eligible to participate in the second round.
There will be no betterment option after the second round of MH CET Law 2026 counselling.
During MH CET Law 2026 counselling, the seat allotment will be done as per the MH CET Law reservation policy 2026. There are around 10,000 seats available through MH CET 5-year LLB counselling 2026. The MH CET 3-year LLB counselling 2026 offers around 16,000 seats for admission. The prescribed MH CET Law 2026 seat reservation criteria are given below:

Candidates will be allotted seats in the MH CET 2026 Law participating colleges. The colleges are allotted as per the preference choices given by the candidates at the time of counselling. Whether a candidate gets their first-choice college or not will depend on their performance in the exam. Currently, there are over 10000 seats available for MH CET Law 5-year LLB. On the other hand, there are over 16000 seats available for MH CET Law 3-year LLB.
Only those candidates who clear the MH CET law cut off 2026 for the respective colleges will be able to gain admission into that college. The opening marks usually are in the range of 110+ marks for the top 50 colleges, whereas the closing cut-off is usually in the range of 75-80 marks.
