MH CET Law CounsellingMH CET Law Counselling 2017 – Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Maharashtra has begun MH CET Law 2017 counselling from June 14 for admissions to five-year integrated law programmes. The counselling of MH CET Law 2017 is being held online through Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Candidates seeking admissions in five-year integrated and three-year law programmes need to register for participating in the MH CET Law counselling. The DHE Maharashtra is organising the counselling of MH CET Law 2017 for as many as three rounds including seat allotment process. Candidates who have qualified the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (MH CET Law) are to be called in for attending the counselling process of MH CET Law 2017 as per their results and rank secured in the law entrance examination. The MH CET Law counselling 2017 is a three-step process where the first step involves registration of the candidates by filling online centralised admission form for MH CET Law 2017 counselling, announcement of merit list by the organising authority, filling preference for the colleges, uploading of allotted seats to candidates and reporting to the allotted colleges. MH CET Law Counselling: Instructions

  • MH CET Law Counselling 2017 is to be organised in online mode through Central Admission Process (CAP).

  • DHE Maharashtra is to announce CAP notification along with the admission-cum-registration form for MH CET Law 2017 counselling.

  • Candidates need to register for CAP by filling the registration form for MH CET Law counselling 2017.

  • Once the candidate has been registered for MH CET Law counselling, candidate needs to visit facilitation centre for document verification.

  • Further, provisional merit list is to be published and candidates need to report objections (if any) on the merit list and after that final merit list of MH CET Law 2017 is published.

  • The category wise seat matrix will be published for MH CET Law Counselling round 1 and candidates need to exercise options of Freeze and Float for securing seats through CAP.

  • The provisional seat allotment list will be published and candidates need to report to the allotted college to accept the seat.

  • There shall be as many as three rounds of MH CET Law 2017 counselling through CAP.

  • The next round of MH CET Law 2017 counselling shall only begin after the candidates have been admitted to their respective allotted colleges during the previous round of MH CET Law 2017.

  • Candidates attending MH CET Law counselling need to deposit a counselling fee for accepting seats, as per their respective categories.

  • Candidates, who do not report at the allotted college within the stipulated time, will be liable to lose their offered seat and such candidates cannot participate in the next rounds of MH CET Law Counselling 2017.

  • If candidates fail to get their documents verified, or at any stage of admission are found to be ineligible or fraudulent, then the allotted seats during MH CET Law 2017 counselling will be cancelled in such cases.

  • If any seat is withdrawn or the allotted seats are rejected, the MH CET Law counselling fee will be refunded after deducting an amount of Rs. 1000.

MH CET Law 2017 Counselling: How to register and attend counselling process

  1. Click on the official link of MH CET Law Counselling 2017 Common Admission Process (CAP).

  2. Click on 'New Registration' to register for MH CET Law 2017 Counselling.

  3. Enter your MH CET Law Registration Number/ Roll Number.

  4. Click on "Save and Proceed' button.

  5. Fill in all the details as required for MH CET Law Counselling and enter a Password.

  6. Enter security PIN and click on 'Save and Proceed' button.

  7. Give your preference for colleges from the list of MH CET Law participating institutes.

  8. DHE Maharashtra will then publish a merit-cum-provisional seat allotment list for the registered candidates on the scheduled date.

  9. Candidates can afterwards file objections/ write grievances on the provisional list within the scheduled dates.

  10. A final merit list will be published and candidates need to exercise options on the basis of the MH CET Law merit list.

  11. Candidates will be issued admission letter after which they need to visit the allotted facilitation centres for document verification before proceeding to exercise options for seat allotment process.

  12. Candidates need to remit the admission fee for securing a seat within the stipulated time as per the counselling schedule of MH CET Law 2017.

MH CET Law Counselling 2017: Choice-locking options

 

Candidates who will be participating in the counselling process of MH CET Law 2017 will need to exercise the following options while locking their college choices.

 

Freeze – The ‘freeze’ option in MH CET Law 2017 counselling can be used by candidate, if he/ she doesn’t want to participate further in the counselling process of MH CET Law and will report to the allotted college only. The ‘freeze’ option limits the candidate from attending further MH CET Law counselling rounds, as it is final lock for the allotted college.

 

Float – If the candidates, chooses for ‘float’ option, it gives them the opportunity to participate in the further rounds of MH CET Law counselling 2017. The candidates in the subsequent rounds of MH CET Law 2017 counselling may be offered seats in the colleges of higher preferences. Moreover, in case they are not offered seat in the subsequent counselling rounds of MH CET Law 2017, they can opt for the seat in the previously allotted college.
