MHCET law 2020 qualified candidates only can participate in the counselling process.
The merit rank of the candidate will be used for seat allotment, along with choices opted for admission.
Post seat allotment, the candidate may freeze the allotted seat or opt for betterment (but only if the allotted seat is not the first preference seat).
Allotted candidates need to get their documents verified and pay acceptance fee.
The allotment of seat will be conducted under two heads: 1) Maharashtra State Candidature Type (MS), and 2) All India Candidature Type (OMS)
The result of MHCET law 2020 for 5-year program will be declared on May 15.
Candidates who have qualified in MH CET law 2020 will be issued merit numbers. Admission officials will prepare the MH CET law merit list 2020 using CET scores
Such candidates have to next participate in choice filling, wherein they have to exercise their preference of institutions before the start of CAP Round-I and CAP Round-III. The options have to be entered in the order of priority, with the first preferred option at the top.
The options filled before CAP Round I will be used for seat allotment in the CAP Round-I and II.
For seat allotment in CAP Round III, options confirmed prior to CAP Round III will be considered.
The allotment of seats for each CAP Round will be based on the merit rank of the candidate and choices entered by the candidate.
Document verification: The candidate has to next accept the allotted seat and pay the acceptance fee by reporting at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) through candidate log-in.
Reporting at allotted institute: Such candidates who have been allotted seats need to report at the allotted institute within the given deadline and complete admission formalities.
If the candidate is allotted first preference seat:
The seat will be freezed and the candidate can’t participate in any subsequent CAP rounds.
Such candidates (who are allotted first preference seats) have to report at ARC for document verification and payment of seat acceptance fee through candidate login.
The candidate has to next report at the allotted institute and complete admission formalities.
If the candidate is allotted a seat other than first preference seat, the candidate may:
Freeze the seat if he/she is satisfied with such allotment and doesn’t want to participate in subsequent CAP rounds. The seat can be freezed through candidate log-in. The candidate has to next get their documents verified at ARC and also pay the seat acceptance fee. Finally, the candidate has to report at the allotted institute and complete remaining admission formalities. Any candidate who doesn’t report at ARC, the allotment would stand cancelled. Also, once a seat is freezed, the candidate can’t participate in any future CAP rounds.
Accept the seat by reporting at ARC, but not freeze it. In that case they can participate in subsequent rounds for betterment.
Opt to not accept the seat by not reporting at ARC and not pay the fee. Such candidates can participate in subsequent rounds.
Following details would be mentioned on the MHCET law seat allocation list:
Name of the allotted candidate
Gender of the candidate
Sample image of seat allotment
Marksheet of qualifying examination
MH CET law 2020 Admit Card
MH CET law Scorecard
Caste certificate (if admission is sought under reserved category)
PwD certificate (if applicable)
The counselling for the 5-year integrated law program will start on May 20, and for the 3-year LLB program on July 21.
To be eligible to participate in the counselling process, the candidate needs to have qualified in the state-level exam.
Authorities will consider the MHCET law 2020 merit rank of the candidate and choices opted for making the allotment.
The candidate can accept the seat online and then visit an Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) to get their documents verified and pay the seat acceptance fee.
If the allotted seat is not a first preference seat, the candidate can participate in subsequent rounds for betterment. However, if the allotted seat is a first preference seat, it will automatically get freezed, and the candidate can’t participate in the next rounds of counselling.
