I got 53% in graduation. Am I eligible to apply three year LLB course?

GURMEET KALTA 3rd Jun, 2019
Hi Namrata,
You are absolutely eligible for three years law Course i.e.,LLB. As you got 53% is under the minimum criteria for getting admission in any law school.

The Bar Council of India may from time to time, but stipulate the minimum percentage of marks not below 45% of total marks in case of general category student and 40% in case of sc/st category applicant.

So according to this rule you have extra 8% marks so you are eligible to get admission in any qualifying law university or institute.

Which is the best way of preparation for du llb entrance in 1 month or less than?

Pratyusha Tripathy 3rd Jun, 2019
Hello Vishal,

The first and most important thing for clearing any competitive exam is to look at the previous year question paper so that you will have a better idea that what questions are there and how you can proceed with your plan.
The DU LLB exam has overall 100 questions with +4 for every correct answer and -1 for every wrong answer.
The questions are mainly divided into more or less 5 sections
1.Logical Reasoning
2. Polity and Legal Reasoning
3. English
4. General Awareness
5. Maths( elementary level and can be done very easily)

Logical Reasoning is the most scoring an easy section of the exam. For this just practice previous year papers, find out your weak areas and work on them.

Polity and Legal reasoning are mostly static and the previous year questions are repeated many times. So work really hard on previous year papers and acquire as much knowledge as you can then you can move to advance level practice form polity section of ss guide

English section is a little vast but has certain parts like tense, direct indirect speech, article etc which with a little practice you can achieve around 40 marks easily

General awareness is really vast with no particular variety of questions. They can ask anything and everything. So try to read current affair books and getter information on the things that are going on right now in every sector of the country and don't forget to check out previous year papers

Math, just practising of previous year paper will do the trick.
Practice last 10years of question paper without thinking much about the pattern. Because even if the pattern has changed but there will not be much change in questions

By doing this regularly for one month you can definitely crack the exam

Hope this helps. If you have any further queries please feel free to ask. We will be happy to help.
