How much percentage are required in class 12th for DU LLB??

Ishi ag 31st May, 2019

For llb, DU conducts an entrance exam called DU LLB entrance. Its admission is not based on class 12th marks but on the rank secured in that exam. In 2018 cutoff for general category students in the fouth round was 99 in terms of rank and 226 in terms of marks. So you should take up the entrance exam and score at least 226 for du llb admission. In 2017, the required marks were 249. So it is tangible every year. Better try for more than 250 to be on safer side.

I am scoring 224 marks , general category....is there any chance to secure a seat in DU ?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019
Hey.
According to the previous year trends for admission in Delhi University for the 3 year LLb course, the cut off for admission in the year 2018 was around 226 marks. In the previous year 2017 the cut off for admission in DU for 3 year LLB was a score around 236. The cut off changes each year due to several factors like level of difficulty, competition etc. But you can still expect the cut off in a similar range. Hence your chances seem to be 50-50. But if this year the cut off is lower than before you would have good chances for admission.
Best of luck

Hello aspirant,

These are the basic difference between CLC and LC.

CLC-

  • The timing for classes may stretch from 8.30 AM- 4.30 PM.
  • CLC has a strong alumni networks which May be helpful in getting in internships in reputed law firms or under Senior Advocates/Judges.
  • CLC organises seminars, conferences and other programmes on contemporary legal topics regularly throughout the year.
  • CLC is a brand in legal sector.

LC-1 and LC-2

  • Afternoon and evening timings.
  • Attendance may not be an major issue here.
  • Better infrastructure than CLC but no separate library for LC-1 and LC-2 in the new building of law faculty. Student may use CLC library.

Hope you get the information.

Parvesh Bansal 9th Jul, 2019

Hi Prakalp,

Considering the previous year cut off marks which is 210 for 2017 and almost the same in 2018, You have a good chance of making it to law faculty of Delhi University. This prediction is based upon the previous year cut offs for OBC category and the data has been taken from various websites so in all probability you will make it.

Hi I have completed my graduation and also after that i changed my name by gazette notification then what name i used during registration?

Pratyusha Tripathy 3rd Jun, 2019
Hello Shivangi,

There are 3 steps for the successful completion of your name change process which you must be knowing
1. Affidavit submission
2. Ad of publication
3. Gazette Notification

So as you are saying that you have already completed gazette notification that means you must have completed the other two steps too. So now you can use your new name most likely in any situation.

Hope this helps. If you have any further queries please feel free to ask. We will be happy to help.
