Siva, DU LLB exam covers 100 Questions. Every correct answer gives you 4 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark in the form of negative marking. The subjects covered are English Language Comprehension, Analytical Abilities, Legal Awareness and Aptitude and General Knowledge. The Question Paper is in the form of MCQs and you need to select the correct answer. The important topics for each subject are as follows:

English Language Comprehension: Unseen Passages, Grammar, Proverbs, Comprehension, Synonms and Antonyms, One word Substitutes, Word and Sentence Correction, Spell Checks and Passages

General Knowledge: Current Affairs

Legal Awareness: Legal Propositions, Conclusions, Legal Maxims

Analytical abilities: Analytical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Numbers, Average, Profit Loss, Percentage, Areas, Time, Speed and Distance, Probabilities, Venn Diagrams, Blood Relations, etc.

DU is one of the reputed Universities in India and to be able to score good in all these subjects, you might need coaching because Analytical Abilities is one section many people falter in.

what is the difference between 1year and 2years LLm

Ameya Narendra Parkar 14th Jan, 2020
Dear Dhritiraj,
Thereis no such big difference in terms of syllabus or subjecs. The one year integrated LLM is less time consuming, one saves an academic year against a 2 year LLM.
The validity of one year over 2 year course in terms of value and is still dicey. Whereas 2 year LLM course is very much recognized by UGC.

I hope this information helps you

All the best

can u please suggest a good book for preparation for du ll.m. entrance. what about preparing from 10 year is that useful.

Ronak Gala Student Expert 22nd Oct, 2019

Haha.. You think you can prepare for a exam for 10 long years? You must be 12/13 years old kid then right? Chill brother, I can understand you really aim to crack the exam and thats why you asked this question but relax, things are not that difficult. Your mind must be bit immature and less knowledgeable to understand the concepts of the things that you are going to face after 8/10 years. So it's okay, the year of entrance is enough and more if you stay focused and dedicated at that point of time. So don't worry, you'll surely be able to crack the exam provided your commitment towards it's the bestesssttt.

About the books now, For Environmental law M. C. Mehta cases, the cases dealing with Public Trust doctrine, the cases of the one prohibiting passive smoking in public places, and different doctrines, the provisions, acts, cases dealing with the National Green Tribunal will suffice. And since the Constitution is the Fundamental law of the land so every one of us have much knowledge about the same either be it through political science knowledge acquired during the school or college life or garnered through observing the day to day happenings or policy decisions taken at the government level. These ones at least remind us at least once that every single thing is happening as per our constitution. Remaining ones of the Constitution most of us, may have learnt at the LL. B. itself.

And thereafter you must remember the names of last year's landmark Supreme Court's judgments.

As far as International law and jurisprudence are concerned then I must without a chunk of hesitation, say that you will have to cram it up.

Thereafter if you wish to practice upon it (the ones which you have learnt through the bare acts, books) then you can do so by taking up and solving the guide of A. K. Jain or universal which ever you like and work upon it, ponder upon it.

i have done my graduation in bcm after that can i apply for LLM

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 19th Aug, 2019

Hey.

LLM is masters in law. So you can pursue this course only if you have completed a bachelors degree in law- 5 year integrated law course or 3 year LLb. As per your question, if you have already done any graduation degree in any stream, and now you want to puruse law then you will have to go for LLB degree which is for 3 years and not for LLM. Admission process for LLb degree is  different for each college. Here is a list of law entrances for 3 year LLB course -

 DU LLB - Delhi University

MH CET- GLC mumbai, ILS Pune and other colleges in Maharashtra

SLAT- Symbiosis Law school

PU LLB- Panjab University, Chandigarh

LSAT- Jindal global Law school, IIT Kharagpur and other private law colleges

BHU LLB- Banaras Hindu University

BVP LLB- Bharatiya Vidyapeeth

TS LAWCET Etc

Best of luck!

Ive done my UG in BA Prog. , Am i eligible for LLM and would it be problematic to do LLM without having LLB Degree??

Ankhi Banerjee 5th Aug, 2019
Hi,
In order to be eligible for LLM, you will need to pursue LLB first and then pursue LLM. LLB is a bachelor's degree qualification while LLM is masters degree in Law and you can't get admission in that unless you have a minimum educational qualification of bachelors in law degree.

pdwords Student Expert 13th Sep, 2019

Hello,

With your graduation degree, you're eligible for three year LLB Program, not LLM.

Eligibility Criteria laid out by Delhi University regarding LLM is a candidate needs to have passed three or five year LLB degree from a recognized university .

For General Candidate, they need to have at least 50% aggregate or an equivalent grade point, for SC/ST/OBC, it's 45% and PWD  category, there's also relaxation of 5% in the aggregate requirement. There's no age bar regarding this.
