Delhi University LLM Entrance Examination
Get Updateswhat is the difference between 1year and 2years LLm
Thereis no such big difference in terms of syllabus or subjecs. The one year integrated LLM is less time consuming, one saves an academic year against a 2 year LLM.
The validity of one year over 2 year course in terms of value and is still dicey. Whereas 2 year LLM course is very much recognized by UGC.
I hope this information helps you
All the best
i have done my graduation in bcm after that can i apply for LLM
Hey.
LLM is masters in law. So you can pursue this course only if you have completed a bachelors degree in law- 5 year integrated law course or 3 year LLb. As per your question, if you have already done any graduation degree in any stream, and now you want to puruse law then you will have to go for LLB degree which is for 3 years and not for LLM. Admission process for LLb degree is different for each college. Here is a list of law entrances for 3 year LLB course -
DU LLB - Delhi University
MH CET- GLC mumbai, ILS Pune and other colleges in Maharashtra
SLAT- Symbiosis Law school
PU LLB- Panjab University, Chandigarh
LSAT- Jindal global Law school, IIT Kharagpur and other private law colleges
BHU LLB- Banaras Hindu University
BVP LLB- Bharatiya Vidyapeeth
TS LAWCET Etc
Best of luck!
Ive done my UG in BA Prog. , Am i eligible for LLM and would it be problematic to do LLM without having LLB Degree??
In order to be eligible for LLM, you will need to pursue LLB first and then pursue LLM. LLB is a bachelor's degree qualification while LLM is masters degree in Law and you can't get admission in that unless you have a minimum educational qualification of bachelors in law degree.
i am pass through bsc math honours . can i elisible for du LLM
Hello,
With your graduation degree, you're eligible for three year LLB Program, not LLM.
Eligibility Criteria laid out by Delhi University regarding LLM is a candidate needs to have passed three or five year LLB degree from a recognized university .
For General Candidate, they need to have at least 50% aggregate or an equivalent grade point, for SC/ST/OBC, it's 45% and PWD category, there's also relaxation of 5% in the aggregate requirement. There's no age bar regarding this.

Hello Aspirant.
Going by the DU LLM cutoffs for different categories in the year 2018, I am sorry to say but there isn't any chance for you to get admission this time. The maximum rank for OBS category taking admission last year was 62.
I would suggest you to go for other alternatives or try again in the next year.

my DULLM rank is 118(general) and in category it is 72 will i get admission in 2 year course?
Hello
As per last few years records and statistics the cutoff rank is 64 for general students. According to du official website In 5th merit list selection was till 35th rank in general and in 4th merit list till 22th rank in 2018. Since you have a rank of 72 you can expect a seat by the 4th round (if at all). They called upto 75 students rankwise with the combined rank till 35. Since there are 71 students ahead of you you must be on 72nd position. By the looks of it you getting a chance are not great but I would suggest you to wait because you might just get it. All the best.
My rank is 47 general) and there are a total of 88 student ahead of me after excluding all reserve category students. Can I expect a seat?
