These are the following books which are generally referred for firm understanding of the syllabus and proper preparation for PU LLB.
General Knowledge is in itself is a very diverse subject. For static G.K you can avail to various online offline material and past year papers and for current G.K You can refer to magazines issued by various media publishing houses. Also it is necessary to view part year papers and question papers of other examinations to get an overview of the level of difficulty and type of questions asked. Keep practicing mock tests to have a control on the time.

Yes, Panjab University requires law aspirants to sit for the entrance exam to get admission in their Undergraduate Law courses. They do not accept CLAT marks. You can get more information in the official link here:

Your documents will be shortly verified by the officials of the concerned university. You have done whatever was needed on your part now it is upon them to verify the documents. Generally in 7 working days one get the remarks regarding the Legtimiacy of documents in case there will be some issue you will be required to upload the questioned document again with a lot more clarity or some other document in case they are not accepting the actual document that you would have submitted.

There are various entrance exams which are conducted by different universities /colleges in which you have to pass for getting the admission in that particular college. So I am providing you with the list of those entrance exams. You can go through this list for your reference.
1.Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralized law entrance exam conducted for admission into the 19 national law universities of India.
2.All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a law entrance test conducted by National Law University, Delhi
3.Law School Admission Test (LSAT)- India is conducted by Pearson VUE and designed by Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for admission into various law programs in colleges in India.
4.Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test Law is conducted by the University for Entry into undergraduate programs in its affiliated colleges. However the admission in IP colleges will be through clat this year onwards.
5.Aligarh Muslim University conducts AMU
6.Symbiosis Law Entrance Test (SET Law) is a university level entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) for admission in B.A LLB and BBA LLB programs.
7.Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law is a state level law entrance test.
8.Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test is conducted by Andhra Pradesh State .
Please notice that I have mentioned above only those colleges which offer 5 year course of ba llb or bba llb.
