Hey my rank is 154 in tentative list what are my chances in chd campus in pu ?

Saumya Singh 19th Jul, 2019
If you are from general category it is safe if you secure a rank between 120-150 in the final merit list.if you are from reserved category then it goes upto 300. You may not be able to get chandigarh campus in first counselling but you can try in the subsequent rounds for the same.
Hope it helps!

Maam I got 170 rank in pu ballb and there are only 65 seats in uils chandigarh...wat are my chances?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 20th Jul, 2019
Hey Ayushi.
There are 120 seats (both BA and BCOM) in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres. Around 53% sears are fot the general category. So for the Chandigarh campus if your rank in the BA LLB merit list after combination of both scores is under 150-180 you'll have a fair chance in the first counselling itself. Considering your rank is 170 you seem to have a good chance for admission in UILS. The merit list that has been released included repeated names as many people have applied for bith BA LLB as well as BCOM LLB. So with your rank your chances are good.

My rank is 284 in pu ba llb , chances to get uils chandigarh?

abhisheksingh19121999_6969616 Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019
Hello,
One important factor which contributes effectively in deciding your centre is your category. You have not specified your category anywhere. But just to give you an idea for a general candidate it's safe to secure a rank between 120 to 150 in the final merit list to get I to the chandigarh campus in the first round of councelling itself . If you are from a reserved category then it goes up to 300 rank based on your category.
So if you are a general candidate then you might not get the chandigarh campus in the first councelling .You can try for the same in the subsequent councelling rounds.
Hope this helps
Good luck

Hello Ishi!

These are the following books which are generally referred for firm understanding of the syllabus and  proper preparation for PU LLB.

  • CLAT and LLB entrance examination study package, A.P Bhardwaj
  • The Ultimate Guide to the LLB Entrance Examination, M A Rashid
  • Model Test Papers for CLAT and LLB,A.P Bhardwaj
  • The Pearson Guideto LLB Entrance, Thrope

General Knowledge is in itself is a very diverse subject. For static G.K you can avail to various online offline material and past year papers and for current G.K  You can refer to magazines issued by various media publishing houses. Also it is necessary to view part year papers and question papers of other examinations to get an overview of the level of difficulty and type of questions asked. Keep practicing mock tests to have a control on the time.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Hi. I have got 96.8 in 10+2 and rank is 456 in pu ba ll.b. I belong to OGC. My scope of admission in UILS chd?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 13th Jul, 2019
Hey Kirti.
Hey.
Considering your rank in entrance exam is 456and that your boards exam score is 96.8% you seem to have a good chances for admission in UILS, Chandigarh. Even though your rank in entrance is average but as your boards score is really good it balances out as both scores are equally important because of 50% weightage for each.
There are 120 seats each for BALLB and BCOM LLB in the Chandigarh campus, 60 each in regional centres. So for the Chandigarh campus if your rank in the BA LLB merit list after combination of both scores is uner 150-180 you'll have a fair chance in the first counselling itself.
And with your rank and marks in boards your chances seem good.
Best of luck
