What if I got less than 50 % number in ulsat law ? Will they call me for the GP round ?

Helly Shah 22nd Jun, 2019
Hi Arushi,

This year's passing cutoffs for ULSAT law have not been declared yet. But according to past year's trends you can pass the examination if you've more than 50%.

By less than 50% what is exactly you mean. You might have a chance of passing if you score above 45%.

But in the end it's not about the Percentage you get but it's about the marks you obtain i.e. your percentile. Because the cut-off marks are dependent on the average score obtained by students in the given examination.

So until the cut-off percentile is released you really cannot predict whether they'll call you for the GP round or not.

Usually the cut-off percentile is released after the declaration of the results. And since the results are out they can release the cut-off anytime now.
For further information regarding the dates you can check out the link below:-

Hope this helps

I cleared ULSAT exam and i was called for GDPI process, but i didnt do well in GDPI. Will i be able to get admission in UPES.

Purnima Pruthi Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant!

As a part of ULSAT 19 counseling, the university conducts a group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates who qualify this are called for the final round of counseling and admission procedure thereafter.

As you have mentioned that you could not perform well in GD-PI round, there are still chances of getting admission there.

Past year experiences have shown that if a candidate performs well in the exam but is unable to to do well in the GD-PI , still he or she is considered for the admissions. Also it has been noticed that if there are vacant seats available with the university, then too admissions are offered irrespective of the performance in GD-PI but the first condition holds. Both the situations are practical enough to happen and increases your good chances of admission.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Papeya Dubey Student Expert 4th Jun, 2019
Hello

As per the Supreme Court’s stay on age bar, there's no age limit fixed in appearing of any law examinations and this includes ULSAT as well. So, yes your mom can gladly go ahead, continue her studies, fulfill her dreams and most importantly be an inspriration for all young people out there.Wishing your mother all the best.

Thank you!

I have not filled the form of UPES but I have given CLAT 2019 and also be giving LSAT 2019 can I get admission through merit base?

Aditi Choubey 26th May, 2019
Hello Apoorva
UPES does take admission in the basis of scores of CLAT it doesn't matter whether you have given the exam or not if you have given CLAT you can apply for it. Because they have no of seats for students who get admission through CLAT. Once you have your score you can apply for it. Than they will send you a mail whether you qualify for GD and PI Or not.
I hope this helps you and if you have any more questions please drop a comment below.
Best of luck.

can i get admission in B.A LL.B without appearing in CLAT in UPES dehradun ?

Ria Vishisht 3rd May, 2019

Hello Chiranjeev Singh ,

UPES Dehradun Takes admission through CLAT only.

There are 17 National Law universities in India and One National Law University Delhi whcih takes admission Through AILET (All India Law Entrance Test ).

If say, I sit for CLAT this year and the admissions for NLS, Bangalore close at 145. So if I score well within that range, I get the college. As rightly pointed out in other answers, it is affected by your rank and percentile.

If you want to get into any NLU in the country your rank should be within 1000 or so. If you wish to get into one of the top 3 colleges in the country it should be within 200 or so. All this is for a general category seat.

On particular achieving marks, one earns eligibility to clear the cutoffs of Law colleges across country.

CLAT 2019 Eligibility:

To be eligible for CLAT, the students must have secured:

(A) Forty five percent (45%) marks in Qualifying Exam (Class XII examination) in case of students belonging to Unreserved /OBC /Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.

(B) Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of students belonging to SC/ST categories.

Students who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2019 are also eligible for appearing in CLAT-2019 Offline examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, otherwise they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.

The result of qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.

CLAT 2019 will be held from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM on 12th May 2019.

To check the prospecting cut offs for 2019 , you can go and check the link:https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff
