ULSAT 2026: University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun has opened the ULSAT 2026 application form for 5-year LLB, and LLM on its website - upes.ac.in. The UPES application fee is Rs 1750 for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. UPES will conduct the ULSAT 2026 for admissions into its law programmes. The university offers 5-year integrated law programmes namely B.Com LLB (Hons), BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.), 3-year LLB and LLM programmes. The institute will notify the ULSAT exam dates on its official website. ULSAT 2026 will be conducted in online remote proctored mode. Alternatively, candidates can also apply offline by obtaining the application form from the admission office of the university. Candidates have to book their preferred slots and also appear for a demo test before appearing for the actual exam.
The School of Law at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun offers a mix of Integrated UG and PG programmes in law. The list of courses at UPES Dehradun include B.Com LLB, BA LLB and BBA LLB, 3-year LLB and LLM. The UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test is conducted for admission to these courses.

UPES Dehradun also admits candidates through exams such as CLAT and LSAT—India for integrated law programmes. Students taking admissions through this route must have a CLAT AIR ranking up to 15000 or L-SAT India Percentile of 60 percentile or above and they will be exempted from ULSAT. However, such candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the university. They may also have to appear for a personal interview in addition to the test.
UPES Dehradun admissions to five-year integrated law programmes are also done on merit, based on marks obtained in class 12. Candidates who scored 75% in 10th and 12th (along with English as one of the compulsory Subjects) are exempted from appearing for ULSAT.

UPES prescribes the eligibility criteria for various law programmes. Interested applicants must make sure they meet the laid down ULSAT eligibilty criteria 2026 in order to be eligible for admissions. The application form for ULSAT 2026 has been released in online mode on the official website. Candidates could fill out the form before the prescribed date. The deadline to fill out the ULSAT 2026 application will be announced soon. The ULSAT 2026 application fee is Rs 1750 for the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes.
The online application form of ULSAT 2026 can be filled in five stages, the application process of ULSAT 2026 is mentioned below.
Registration – As a first step candidates must obtain their login credentials by registering using their mobile number and email ID. This email ID and mobile number will be used for all further communication with the candidate.
Log In – Once the candidates get the registration done, they have to log in using the login ID and password sent to their email ID.
Fill out the Application Form – Next, candidates have to enter other details like parents' names, educational qualifications, and other relevant details.
Upload Photograph and Signature – At this stage, candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the prescribed size and dimension.
Fee Payment – Candidates have to choose the fee payment option (Online) from the ULSAT 2026 application form and pay the application fee using a credit card, debit card and net banking.

ULSAT 2026 will be held in online remote proctored mode. Candidates will have to answer 150 questions spread equally across five sections in 2 hours. All the questions are objective in nature and candidates have to select the correct answer option out of the available. The five sections in ULSAT 2026 syllabus include -
1 mark will be given for each correct answer, while there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The details of ULSAT 2026 exam pattern are given in the table below.

The university will release the ULSAT 2026 admit card a few weeks before the exam. In order to download the admit card of ULSAT, the candidates will have to book a slot for the examination. The admit card can be downloaded immediately after the slot booking process.
The result of ULSAT will be announced in online mode at its official result portal. The ULSAT 2026 result will contain the candidates ranks and marks scored in the exam. A merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s marks in the ULSAT result. As per the merit list, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview round.
The ULSAT selection procedure includes qualifying ULSAT exam or direct admission through the non-exam route wherein candidates are offered admission on the basis of Class 12 Board Merit, CLAT Merit or class 12th Merit scores.
Candidates taking admission through exam route (ULSAT) will have to appear in group discussion and interview. For the group discussion and interview, candidates will be called on the basis of their rank in the merit list. The GD and Interview will take place at different venues in the country.
For LLB, the selection criteria include a Personal Interview round provided the candidates meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
For the LLM course, candidates are selected based on their performance in ULSAT LLM, CLAT PG or CUET.
The group discussion and interview will for candidates shortlisted on the basis of the entrance exam. The candidates have to appear in the same at different venues – Lucknow, Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Jaipur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Dehradun and Chandigarh.
