University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun conducts UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test (ULSAT) every year in computer based mode. ULSAT 2020 is conducted for offering admissions to five-year integrated law programmes namely B.Sc.L.L.B, B.Tech L.L.B, B.Com L.L.B, B.A L.L.B and B.B.A L.LB. The admission to 5-year integrated law programmes at UPES Dehradun is also done without taking ULSAT 2020. Admission through the non-exam route is done either through Class 12 board merit, CLAT merit or LSAT India merit scores wherein around 20% of the seats are offered through this route. However, candidates need to meet the basic eligible criteria set by the university. Direct admission through the non-exam route would also involve GD-PI process.

There is no age bar to appear in ULSAT 2020.

B.B.A.L.L.B with emphasis on Corporate Laws
Candidates need to have at least 50% marks in 10th and 12th class of 10+2 educational system.
B.A.L.L.B with emphasis on Energy Laws
B.Com.L.L.B with emphasis on Taxation Laws
B.Tech Energy Technology + L.L.B with specialization in Cyber Law
Candidates need at least 50% marks in 10th and 12th class exam of 10+2 educational system and at least 50% aggregate marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th class of 10+2 educational system are required.
B.Tech Energy Technology + L.L.B with specialization in IPR
ULSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria - For appearing candidates
Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also take ULSAT 2020. However, such candidates have to produce proof of their age in the form of their class 10th mark-sheet. They also need to produce all original documents/certificates at the time of counselling/admission.

ULSAT Application Form 2020 - Steps to fill
The online application form of ULSAT 2020 will be filled in 5 stages, as mentioned below.
Registration – First of all candidates need to register online by entering their mobile number and email ID, as a registration ID and password will be sent on the email ID and phone number. It must be noted that the email ID and mobile number must be valid as all the further communication will be done the registered email and phone number only.
Log In – Once the candidates get the registration done, they have to log in using the log in ID and password sent to their email ID.
Fill the Application Form – In this stage of ULSAT application form 2020, candidates have to enter other details like parents name, educational qualification, etc.
Upload Photograh and Signature – At this stage, candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature as per the prescribed size and dimension.
Fee Payment – Candidates have to choose the fee payment option (Online) from the ULSAT 2020 application form and pay Rs. 1350 as fee using credit card, debit card and net banking.
Note: For their future reference, candidates can keep a printout of the filled in application form.
ULSAT 2020 will be held in online mode. Candidates will have to answer 150 questions in 3 hours. All the questions are objective in nature and candidates have to select the correct answer option out of the available. 1 mark will be given for each correct answer, while there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. This means that candidates will be allotted marks out of a total of 150. The questions are asked from Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
ULSAT 2020 admit card will be generated a few days before the exam. Candidates have to enter their application number and date of birth to download ULSAT admit card 2020.
How to download ULSAT 2020 Admit Card
The result of ULSAT 2020 will be announced in online mode in June. Through ULSAT result 2020, candidates will get their ranks and marks scored in the exam. A merit list will be prepared based on candidate’s marks in ULSAT result. As per the merit list, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. Check more details below.
Steps to check ULSAT 2020 result
ULSAT selection procedure 2020 includes qualifying ULSAT exam or direct admission through the non-exam route wherein candidates are offered admission on the basis of Class 12 Board Merit, CLAT Merit or L-SAT India Merit scores. Around 20% of the seats are offered through the non-exam route. Candidates taking admission through exam route (ULSAT) will have to appear in group discussion and interview. For the group discussion and interview, candidates will be called on the basis of their rank in the merit list. The GD and Interview will take place at different venues in the country.
The group discussion and interview will be held in June wherein candidates have to appear in the same at different venues – Lucknow, Mumbai, Delhi, Patna, Jaipur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Dehradun and Chandigarh.

As per the official schedule released by UPES Dehradun, results for ULSAT 2019 are tentatively scheduled for release in the last week of June 2019. The counselling process will start immediately after the release of results. The notice for the Same will be released by the concerned authorities. The selected candidates will be intimated after the results so that they can catch on with the admissions.

As a part of ULSAT 19 counseling, the university conducts a group discussion and personal interview round. Candidates who qualify this are called for the final round of counseling and admission procedure thereafter.
As you have mentioned that you could not perform well in GD-PI round, there are still chances of getting admission there.
Past year experiences have shown that if a candidate performs well in the exam but is unable to to do well in the GD-PI , still he or she is considered for the admissions. Also it has been noticed that if there are vacant seats available with the university, then too admissions are offered irrespective of the performance in GD-PI but the first condition holds. Both the situations are practical enough to happen and increases your good chances of admission.
