i am a up domicile obc candidate my marks in 12th boards are 61 in chemistry and 64 in physics and 59 in mathematics am i eligible for getting admission in jadavpur university

Prachi Kumari 29th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Eligibility for admission to Jadavpur University depends on various factors, including the specific course you’re applying for and its cut-off requirements. Generally, for undergraduate engineering courses, the following conditions apply:

  1. Minimum Marks : Jadavpur University often requires a minimum of 60% in aggregate in subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering.
  2. Cut-off Ranks : Admission is also based on WBJEE or JEE Mains ranks.
  3. Category Quota : As an OBC candidate, you may have some relaxation in cut-off ranks compared to general category candidates.
  4. Subject Eligibility : Ensure that you meet the subject-specific requirements for the course you wish to apply for.

Hope it helps !

4000 rank in women in clat pg 2025 llm

Lalbee 28th Dec, 2024

Hello,

A rank of roughly 4000 that too women category would be appropriate for admission because the CLAT cut-off scores are lower for general and especially for reserved categories.

Candidates from the general category should aim for a score of 90 or higher in order to be admitted to one of the top three NLUs, per the CLAT 2024. For SC/ST categories, 60–70 points are regarded as a better score in CLAT 2024. At the time of CLAT counseling, the Consortium of NLUs will announce the final ranking of applicants for each round.

I got a rank of 4500 in clat 2025 I may get lower NLUs like tamil nadu Aurangabad shimla in vacancies Ive also applied for nirma Im a little confused whether I should prefer nirma or lower NLUs and if nirma is good.

gitika yadav 28th Dec, 2024

Hi Prin,

Choosing between a lower-ranked NLU (like Tamil Nadu, Aurangabad, Shimla) and Nirma University depends on several factors, including your career goals, the course structure, faculty quality, location, and placement opportunities.

If you aim for corporate law roles or a well-rounded education with a strong focus on placements, Nirma University might be the better option.

If you aspire to government jobs, judiciary exams, or want to benefit from the NLU brand for long-term prestige, go for a lower-ranked NLU .

If you're still uncertain, prioritize where you see yourself excelling in terms of curriculum, faculty support, and placement assistance.

Best wishes!

Is 78.25 score is good in clat this year for general girl .. expected NLU

Lalbee 22nd Dec, 2024

Hello,

As you have not specified as CLAT UG or PG, I would presume the question as applying it for both Categories.

The cutoff lists that the individual universities release determine what constitutes a good score. A cutoff score of 75+ is anticipated for top-ranked NLUs due to a reduction in the number of questions.  In CLAT 2024, a score of more than 80 out of 120 can be considered good. The number of CLAT UG  and CLAT PG questions has been lowered by the Consortium of NLUs.

You will get a better private college with this Better Score. You can also refer the below link for predictor

in my clat exam my air rank was 55000 and my catagory rank was 5000+ andhrapradesh women will i get seat in dsnlu at which councling will i able yo get seat

Prachi Kumari 21st Dec, 2024

Hello,

Based on your CLAT AIR rank of 55,000 and category rank of 5,000+ (Andhra Pradesh Women), it's unlikely that you'll secure a seat in the top NLUs like NLSIU or NALSAR. However, DSNLU (Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Srikakulam) may offer a possibility, given the previous year's cutoffs . Here's a breakdown:

  1. Previous Year Cutoff for DSNLU : In 2023, the last rank for Andhra Pradesh (Women) was around 9,000–12,000 for the general category, and about 12,000-15,000 for women.
  2. Category Advantage : As an Andhra Pradesh woman candidate, you may have a slight advantage over general candidates.
  3. Counseling Round : You will likely be eligible for the 3rd or 4th round of counseling (depending on your final rank), but it could be close.
  4. Decision : While not guaranteed, keep an eye on the counseling process and seat availability in your category.

what is GC - KA in clat merit list ?

Prachi Kumari 21st Dec, 2024

Hello,

In the context of the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) merit list , GC-KA refers to a specific category classification for candidates:

  • GC : Stands for General Category . It includes candidates who do not belong to any reserved category (such as SC, ST, OBC, etc.).
  • KA : Refers to candidates from the Karnataka state (as part of the Karnataka State Eligibility).
  • This classification helps identify candidates who are from the General Category and have Karnataka domicile status.
  • The GC-KA category is relevant for specific reservation benefits and admission policies in the state’s law schools.

Annu Kumari 20th Dec, 2024

The minimum age of the candidates must be 17 years by the December 31,2026 to be eligible for the exam. But as you won't be 17 years, you won't be able to give exam. However, you can utilise this time to prepare more for the exam. Many of the student even take a drop to make their fundamental strong and to score better in the exam. You can also utilise your time to make strong foundation of the subject and as you will get more time ,you can practice many mock test and sample papers that will definitely boost your preparation and will enhance your score. So, instead of thinking the situation as negative, you can bring the positivity in mind that yo have got extra time for preparation. To know more about NEET preparation, visit NEET preparation tips

My OBC categroy rank is 4700 in clat and i am from kerala. So is there any chance to get into nlu kochi (kerala)

gitika yadav 21st Dec, 2024

Hi Jaya,

Based on your OBC category rank of 4,700 in CLAT and your domicile in Kerala, securing admission to the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) in Kochi may be challenging.

Historically, NUALS has had competitive cutoffs, especially for the BA LLB (Hons) program.

For instance, in the 2023 admissions cycle, the closing ranks for the BA LLB (Hons) program were as follows:

  • General (All India): 1,461
  • General (Home State): 1,769
  • OBC (Home State): 16,177

Although, admission trends vary each year due to factors like seat availability, applicant pool, and reservation policies. Hence, you can look for other potential options like -

1. National Law University, Assam (NLUJAA)

2. Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU)

3. Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Visakhapatnam (DSNLU)

4. Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli (TNNLU)

5. Government Law College, Ernakulam

You can get more information like Cutoff. Pattern, etc on the given link of which will redirect you the page of Careers360.

how many mark i need to get in board i got 45/120 in clat to get admitted in sastra Thanjavur law.

Prachi Kumari 20th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Admission to SASTRA University's School of Law is based on a combined score from your Class 12 marks and CLAT performance, weighted at 75% and 25% respectively.

With a CLAT score of 45 out of 120, your CLAT component is 9.375% (45/120 * 25%).

To enhance your admission prospects, achieving high marks in your Class 12 board examinations is crucial.

While specific cutoff marks vary annually based on applicant performance and seat availability, aiming for a Class 12 score above 90% can significantly strengthen your application.

This would contribute 67.5% (90% * 75%) to your combined score, totaling approximately 76.875% when combined with your CLAT component.

You can also use the CLAT college predictor tool to predict which colleghe you can get based on your score or rank.
