If you are interested in colleges in Ludhiana only then I would suggest you to go fo counselings for colleges in Ludhiana. Although the colleges are much better in Chandigarh, if you wish to study in Ludhiana then go for it. There is no need to attend the counseling in Chandigarh or Hoshiarpur

You will be asked for the copy of all the documents and all will be verified using original documents during time of certificate verification. You will be asked for original Migration certificate in the institute which is to be submited in institute. Hope this may help you.

In every exam, the official website provides certain marks/ranks which are required to qualify the exam. If you've qualified the exam, your name might be there in merit list. And there might me a mail/SMS from the institute calling you for counseling rounds.

Counseling procedure is for the students where they are allocated with a seat according to there marks in the respective exams. During a counseling session, if a student is alloted a seat in the college then there is no need to come again. 

Similar is the case fo Punjab University, If you get a seat on the first day itself, then there is no need to come on other days too.
