Hi Nishtha!
Every year a thosands of judgements are filed. There is no hard-and-fast rule that previous year judgments could not be asked.
>> In this scenario, you can follow some tips to choose and study on the essential judgements:
---- You should not mug up all the recent judgements, it would be a waste of time.
---- Generally, constitution bench judgments of 3 or more bench judgments are also important. Single or two bench judgments are rarely more significant. There are, however, certain exceptions.
---- Any recent judments which are related to the important subjects as mentiones the syllabus are important. For example: family law, constituitional law, criminal law, etc.
---- Topics like arbitration law, CPC is not essentially part of the syllabus, thus judgments related to these topics are unlikely to appear in the exam.
---- Also, it would be great if you could get help from any experienced mentor or friends or anyone who has attempted CLAT PG, it will save you time for preparation.
