A Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) company is a commercial entity whose majority shares (minimum 51%) are owned by the Union Government or either a state or a territorial government or both. In a few cases, the majority shares of the PSU may be owned partly by the Union and the state government.

PSU Recruitment for Legal Advisors through CLAT

PSUs are commercial entities with hundreds of thousands of employees and business interests covering the length and breadth of the country. To run such a vast organisation and worth crores of rupees requires a strong legal team, along with able administrators and other people from various domains. And the members of the legal team of these PSUs are chosen based on their CLAT 2025 merit rank; the selection process may also include personal interviews for shortlisted candidates.

What are Eligibility Criteria of PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025

1. The candidate must have successfully completed CLAT 2025 registration, appeared for the exam and obtained a valid score. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the exam.

2. Note that a PSU may have its own eligibility criteria that the candidate has to fulfil.

3. The basic requirement is of course LLB graduation; both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB graduates may apply.

4. Candidates who have passed the CLAT PG exam in previous years may not be considered for selection.

5. CLAT 2025 does not have an age criteria. However, the concerned PSU may have an age limit; so candidates are urged to refer to the job notification released by the PSU.

How to Apply for PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025

Many candidates who have passed CLAT PG though intend to work in the PSU sector are a bit lost regarding the correct procedure to fill the PSU application form for Law. The problem also with PSU recruitment through CLAT is many students find out about the job vacancies only after the application window has closed. 3. Any candidate seeking to participate in the PSU recruitment process needs to also apply for CLAT.

4. The candidate must apply only once to a PSU as multiple applications may lead to disqualification.

PSU Recruiting through CLAT 2025: Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of candidates: In the first phase, the PSU will shortlist candidates based on their merit rank in CLAT 2025.

2. Invitation to shortlisted candidates for interview: Candidates will be sent invitations for interview. At the time of interview the candidate has to produce the interview call letter along with other documents like CLAT scorecard 2025, and academic certificates as may be prescribed.

3. Interview: The candidates will be notified of the mode of the interview (offline or online). Note that a Group Discussion (GD) may also be a part of the selection process.
