PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025 – Apart from CLAT being a law entrance exam for national law universities, a lesser known aspect of the exam is PSU recruitment 2025 through CLAT. The Common Law Admission Test gives the candidates an opportunity to apply for jobs in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). NHPC Limited recently opened applications for the Post of Trainee Officer (Law) through the CLAT PG 2024 scores. The last date to submit the online application was December 30, 2024. The selection of the candidate will be done via CLAT PG 2024 score, group discussion, and personal interview. Many other PSUs such as Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Tehri Hydro Development Corporation Limited (THDC) recruit Law officers, Trainee Legal Advisors and Legal Executive trainees on the basis of CLAT LLM scores. Along with the PSUs, Indian Army also conducts recruitment for Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Department through CLAT score every year.

PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025
The PSUs job notifications for CLAT 2025 are expected to be released soon. PSUs such as PGCIL, THDC, IOCL, ONGC, BHEL and NTPC are expected to notify the PSU recruitment through CLAT on their websites. The Indian Army may also announce the JAG recruitment through CLAT PG exam.

What are Public Sector Undertaking Companies?
A Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) company is a commercial entity whose majority shares (minimum 51%) are owned by the Union Government or either a state or a territorial government or both. In a few cases, the majority shares of the PSU may be owned partly by the Union and the state government.

PSU Recruitment for Legal Advisors through CLAT
PSUs are commercial entities with hundreds of thousands of employees and business interests covering the length and breadth of the country. To run such a vast organisation and worth crores of rupees requires a strong legal team, along with able administrators and other people from various domains. And the members of the legal team of these PSUs are chosen based on their CLAT 2025 merit rank; the selection process may also include personal interviews for shortlisted candidates.
What are Eligibility Criteria of PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025
The candidate must have successfully completed CLAT 2025 registration, appeared for the exam and obtained a valid score. Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria for the exam.
Note that a PSU may have its own eligibility criteria that the candidate has to fulfil.
The basic requirement is of course LLB graduation; both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB graduates may apply.
Candidates who have passed the CLAT PG exam in previous years may not be considered for selection.
CLAT 2025 does not have an age criteria. However, the concerned PSU may have an age limit; so candidates are urged to refer to the job notification released by the PSU.

PSU Recruiting through CLAT 2025: Selection Process
Shortlisting of candidates: In the first phase, the PSU will shortlist candidates based on their merit rank in CLAT 2025.
Invitation to shortlisted candidates for interview: Candidates will be sent invitations for interview. At the time of interview the candidate has to produce the interview call letter along with other documents like CLAT scorecard 2025, and academic certificates as may be prescribed.
Interview: The candidates will be notified of the mode of the interview (offline or online). Note that a Group Discussion (GD) may also be a part of the selection process.
