Delhi University started offering 5-year LLB courses from the academic session 2023-24 onwards. The Bar Council of India has approved both the courses. DU BA LLB admissions 2024 will be done based on Common Law Admission Test.

Educational Qualifications	Candidates must have passed their class 12 from a recognized board. Candidates appearing in their class 12 are also eligible to apply.
Minimum marks	Candidates must have scored minimum 45% aggregate marks in their class 12. SC/ST and PwD candidates must have secured at least 40% marks in their class 12.
Qualifying examination	Candidates must have appeared in the CLAT 2024 and have a valid score.
Age Limit	There is no age limit for DU 5-year LLB admissions.

DU 5-year LLB Admission Criteria 2024

The University of Delhi will conduct the DU BA/BBA LLB admissions 2024 based on these three factors:

Fulfillment of DU BA/BBA LLB eligibility criteria 2024
CLAT 2024 rank and score
Authenticity and validity of the documents and certificates submitted by the candidate.

If any candidate is rejected admissions during the counselling rounds, one of these reasons may be stated by the admission authorities:

Candidate’s inability to fulfill the DU 5-year LLB eligibility criteria 2024.
Invalid documents or certificates produced by the candidates.
Failure in responding to queries and questions raised by the Faculty of Law during the admission process.

DU BA/BBA LLB Admission Criteria 2024 - Important Points

The detailed admission criteria of DU BA LLB and BBA LLB have been given below:

Candidates must have compulsorily appeared for the CLAT 2024 exam for admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB courses at the university.
Apart from appearing in CLAT 2024 exam, candidates must alsoregister themselves separately for DU admissions.
Seat allotment to DU BA LLB and BBA LLB will be done on the basis of CLAT scores, subject to fulfillment of DU 5-year LLB eligibility 2024.
If the seats of the supernumerary quota stay vacant, the same will not be converted into any other categories.
Candidates will lose their right to admission in case of non-compliance of eligibility or submission of relevant documents.
Candidates will be required to appear in person for verification of documents and further admission process.

Documents Required for DU 5-year LLB Eligibility

Candidates will be required to produce the following documents to prove their eligibility:

Class X certificate
Class XII marksheet (Candidate’s name must be the same as in CLAT 2024 admit card and result).
CLAT 2024 admit card.
CLAT 2024 score card.
SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS certificate
OBC-Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued after March 31, 2024.
EWS Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued after March 31, 2024.
Educational Concession Certificate (ECC), (for candidates applying under the CW category).
Candidates claiming reservation under the Orphans category must produce a certificate from a Govt. recognized orphanage/charitable home or death certificate of both parents.
Candidates claiming reservation under University of Delhi (UoD) Ward supernumerary quota will be required to upload a valid employment certificate of his/her parent/s issued by the due officials.

DU 5-year LLB Reservation Criteria

The Delhi University has prescribed the DU 5-year LLB 2024 reservation criteria. From the total available seats for admissions, seats are reserved for different categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) etc. The detailed DU BA LLB reservation criteria with eligibility has been given below:

Other Backward Classes (OBC)	27%	Caste must be listed in the Central List of OBCs (Govt. of India). The OBC certificate must mention non-creamy layer.
Scheduled Castes (SC)	15%	Candidates must produce a Caste Certificate with his/her own name at the time of registration/admission.
Scheduled Tribes (ST)	7.5%	Candidates must produce Tribe Certificate issued by competent authority with his/her name.
Economically Weaker Section (EWS)	10%	Candidates must produce an EWS certificate issued after March 31, 2024.
Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)	5%	Candidates must produce a Disability Certificate issued from a competent authority. A person with Benchmark Disability means a person with more than 40% of a specified disability.
Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces (CW)	5%	Candidates must produce a Educational Concession Certificate (ECC) on a proper letter head from the relevant authorities.

DU 5-year LLB Application Form 2024

Delhi University will release the DU 5-year LLB 2024 application form tentatively in the first week of March 2024. The DU BA LLB 2024 application form will be released online through the official website of Delhi University. Interested applicants can submit the application form 2024 within the specified period. UR/OBC-NCL/EWS category candidates will be required to pay an application fee of Rs 1500, whereas SC/ST/PwBD category candidates need to pay Rs 1000 as registration fee.
