    Dear Student,

CLAT PG stands for Common Law Admission Test Postgraduate. CLAT PG is a national-level entrance examination for admission to LLM programmes offered by participating National Law Universities (NLUs) and other institutions.

    Hey there,

If you mean CLAT eligibility for admission to 5-year LLB courses, there is no fixed CLAT score/rank that guarantees eligibility. You must first meet the basic Class 12 eligibility criteria, and admission is based on your CLAT rank, category, preferences, and counselling cut-offs.

For NLUs, a better rank gives access to more colleges; top NLUs generally require very high ranks.

    Thanks

    Hello Student,

Yes, if you have already completed your graduation, you can still appear for CLAT. The important thing is whether you want CLAT UG or CLAT PG:

    • CLAT UG: For admission to 5-year integrated courses such as BA LL.B. It requires a Class 12 qualification; having already completed college does not, by itself, prevent you from appearing. There is no upper age limit.
    • CLAT PG: For admission to LL.M., you must have completed a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree.

If you have completed a non-law graduation (B.Com, B.Sc., B.A., B.Tech, etc.) and now want to study law, you can target CLAT UG for the 5-year integrated LL.B. programme.

For CLAT 2027, the exam is scheduled for 6 December 2026, and registration is open until 31 October 2026.

Best wishes for your CLAT exam preparation!
