PU LLB Counselling 2019 - The Panjab University will be conducting the PU LLB 2019 counselling in the third week of August 2019 for admissions to the three year LLB programme. Firstly, candidates who have qualified the entrance examination as per the minimum qualifying percentage bar mandated by the university will become eligible for admissions into the university and the counselling of PU LLB 2019.
An admission form will be available on the university website after the announcement of results which candidates will have to fill in order to be considered for the subsequent rounds involved in the admission process.
Candidates will also be required to submit a hard copy of the admission form to the university.
A tentative merit list will be published by the university in the first week of July 2019.
Candidates will be allowed to pose their discrepancies with the tentative merit list to the university.
The university will then publish a provisional merit list in the first week of July 2019.
Candidates mentioned in the provisional merit will have to attend the PU LLB counselling 2019 along with the requisite documents on the dates and timings mentioned on the official website.
On the respective days of counselling, candidates will have to mark their attendance separately for all the participating institutes.
Candidates selected for admissions will be required to pay the requisite fees to finalize their admissions.

Here’s a look into the minimum qualifying marks which candidates should secure in the entrance examination to be shortlisted in the provisional merit list.

The final merit list released by the university will take the following determinants into account in the given weightages. Candidates will be called for the counselling round on the basis of the rank secured by them in the merit list.
Entrance Test Scores - 50%
Marks in the qualifying examination - 50%
Candidates securing the same marks in the final merit list will be bracketed together; however, the tie between them will be resolved in the following ways. Candidates will be called for PU LLB 2019 counselling accordingly.
Candidates with higher marks in the qualifying examination be given a higher rank in the merit list.
If the qualifying examination scores happen to be the same, candidates with higher marks in any immediate lower exam will be assigned a higher rank.
If the tie still persists, candidates senior in age will be given a higher rank in the list.
The university will conduct the counselling of PU LLB 2019 for those candidates mentioned in the final merit list.
Only those candidates mentioned in the tentative/preliminary merit list and who have filled the admission form will be considered for the final list and counselling rounds.
It is compulsory for candidates to attend PU LLB 2019 counselling physically in order to be selected for final admissions.
Also, it is only those candidates who report to the counselling venue and get their attendance marked who will be considered for the waiting list.
Candidates who report late to the counselling venue will not be allotted seat on the basis of their merit position but on the basis of the seats available at that point of time.

The minimum percentage required for LLB course after graduation is mostly 50% for the general category. For example if I talk about DU LLB then , General category candidates need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam or an equivalent grade to be eligible for admission. In case of reserved category candidates there is relaxation in minimum marks, as elucidated below:-
For candidates belonging to SC and ST, the minimum aggregate marks has been fixed at 40%, whereas OBC, PwD and CW candidates need at least 45% marks in aggregate.
