Panjab University will publish the PU BA LLB 2025 merit list on its official website uglaw.puchd.ac.in. First, the university will release the tentative PU UG law merit list 2025 by evening on June 25, 2025. Candidates will be allowed to submit their objections regarding the tentative merit list on the basis of already filled information by the candidate on June 26-27, 2025. After considering the objections, the university will publish the PU BA LLB 2025 provisional merit list by evening on July 03, 2025. Candidates included in the provisional merit list of PU BA LLB 2025 are required to complete payment of fees and other admission formalities to secure admission. Candidates will be admitted into the BA LLB and BCom LLB programmes based on the scores obtained in the PU BA LLB entrance exam and marks in the qualifying exam. The university conducted the PU BA LLB entrance exam on April 27, 2025, in offline mode. The Punjab Law Admission 2025 merit list is prepared based on the marks secured by candidates in the PU BA LLB entrance exam. It must be noted that the PU 5-year LLB merit list will be the only basis of admissions at the PU BA LLB participating colleges.

To be eligible for ranking and be considered for admissions, candidates must obtain the minimum prescribed marks in the PU BA LLB entrance exam result. The cut-off marks are given below. Only those candidates who have scored more than the minimum passing marks and filled the admission form will be eligible to participate in the PU BA LLB 2025 counselling process and obtain admission.

If two or more candidates score the same marks, then the tie will be resolved using the following method:
Candidates who are included in the PU BA LLB 2025 merit list must complete various admission formalities and make the fee payment to obtain seat allotment. Each participating institute will conduct the seat allotment and admission process separately. Allotted students will be required to report to the college with all the required documents in original and get them verified.
After the PU BA LLB merit list is released, qualified candidates must participate in the PU BA LLB counselling process based on their rank in the merit list. The counselling for PU BA LLB 2025 will commence in July 2025. The PU BA LLB counselling will be held at the following institutions:

Speaking strictly in terms of the entrance exam, if you score remains in the 50s range, then there are slim chances of you getting a seat. Judging by the cut off trends of previous years, it might be difficult for you to secure a seat for yourself in any category. However, it is not completely impossible as it ultimately depends upon the paper and exam pattern. You also have a good 10+2 percentage backing you up. There are chances that you may score well in the logical section due to your PCM background.
