Panjab University has released the PU BA LLB 2026 tentative merit list on July 1, 2026. The PU BA LLB and B.Com LLB merit list 2026 has been published for all categories. Candidates can check the tentative merit list for BA LLB and BCom LLB admissions through the official website, uglaw.puchd.ac.in. After the publication of the tentative merit list, candidates can submit objections through email on July 2 and 3, 2026. The university will publish the provisional merit list on July 7, 2026, while the PU BA LLB 2026 counselling process will commence from July 13, 2026. Earlier, Panjab University concluded the admission form process on June 14, 2026, and declared the PU BA LLB 2026 entrance exam result on May 12, 2026.

Candidates will be admitted into the BA LLB and BCom LLB programmes based on the scores obtained in the PU BA LLB entrance exam and marks in the qualifying exam. The university conducted the PU BA LLB entrance exam on April 26, 2026, in offline mode. To be eligible for ranking and be considered for admission, candidates must obtain the minimum prescribed marks in the PU BA LLB entrance exam result. The cut-off marks are given below. Only those candidates who have scored more than the minimum passing marks and have filled out the admission form will be eligible to participate in the PU BA LLB 2026 counselling process and obtain admission.

If two or more candidates score the same marks, then the tie will be resolved using the following method:
Candidates who are included in the PU BA LLB 2026 merit list must complete various admission formalities and make the fee payment to obtain seat allotment. Each participating institute will conduct the seat allotment and admission process separately. Allotted students will be required to report to the college with all the required documents in original and get them verified.
After the PU BA LLB merit list is released, qualified candidates must participate in the PU BA LLB counselling process based on their rank in the merit list.
