IPU CET LLM 2016 Important Dates – Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) had announced the important dates of IPU CET LLM 2016 for the candidates, who wished to appear in the postgraduate Law entrance exam at the University. Aspirants could check IPU CET 2016 Important Dates on this page and know every important event about the entrance exam. Candidates needed to check this page time and again so that they do not miss any crucial event related to the exam.

The GGSIPU had announced IPUCET LLM 2016 Applications from January 30 and the last date of submission of the application form was March 29, 2016. The exam conducting body issued online admit card to the eligible candidates a week before the exam. IPU CET LLM 2016 was held on April 10 from 10:30 AM to 01:00 PM. Result of the law entrance exam was announced on April 26.

The aspirants, who appeared in the GGSIPU Law entrance exam, were required to have an LLB Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for enrollment as an Advocate, or they have an equivalent Law Degree from any Foreign University. In any of the case, they are required to have obtained at least 50% marks in the exam specified above.

The sample papers are not easily accesible for IPU LLM Entrance Exam. You can also refer to CLAT PG sample papers for law preparation.

IPU CET LLM Exam Pattern and Syllabus contained broadly four sections and questions were asked from these section in proportions specified as below
(i)   General Knowledge (including English Language) - (20%)
(ii)   Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Commercial Law & Family Law - (30%)
(iii)   Public International Law, Human Rights Law and Environment Law - (30%)
(iv)   Current Trends in Law - (20%)

What is the eligibility criteria of IPU CET LLM?

Hi, The candidates who seek to appear in the law entrance exam of the University, should possess an LLB Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for enrolment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University. In either case, they must have secured not less than 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Good Luck.

What is the exam pattern of IPU CET LLM?

Hi, The IPU CET LLM pattern comprises of 150 Objective Type Questions, with each question carrying 4 marks. Negative marking would be applicable on wrong answers marked by the candidates in the answer sheet. The test duration is of two and half hours. Questions can be asked from the following areas in below mentioned proportions – (i) General Knowledge (including English Language) - (20%) (ii) Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, Commercial Law & Family Law - (30%) (iii) Public International Law, Human Rights Law and Environment Law - (30%) (iv) Current Trends in Law - (20%) Good Luck.
