IP University Law Admission through CLAT 2021
IP University Law Admission through CLAT 2021 - Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) currently conducts admission to its UG and PG law courses based on Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) scores. Previously the university conducted the IPU Law CET entrance exam for admission. The CLAT exam will be conducted on June 13; it has been postponed from May 9 to avoid clash with CBSE board exams. The CLAT application form 2021 is currently open; the last date to submit completed application form is March 31. CLAT 2021 will be an offline-based exam of 2 hour duration consisting 150 multiple choice questions (for UG), while PG will have both objective and subjective questions. What is CLAT?
The CLAT, known as the Common Law Admission Test, is an all India level law entrance exam conducted by the consortium of NLUs for admission to 5-year integrated LLB and LLM courses offered by the 22 participating NLUs. Admission to the NLUs will not be based on any other test scores.
In addition to the NLUs, there are a host of other institutes, including IPU that use CLAT scores for the admission process.
IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2021
The candidate needs to first meet the eligibility criteria of CLAT 2021 for admission. IPU may also have a few additional requirements, which the candidate should refer to.
CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 - UG programme
The candidate should have passed class 12th CBSE or an equivalent exam
Minimum marks in the qualifying exam
The candidate needs to secure minimum 50% marks
The candidate must have taken English as a subject in 10+2.
CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2021 - PG programme
The candidate must have passed 3 or 5-year LLB degree
Minimum marks in the qualifying exam
One must secure minimum 50% marks
Those in final semester may also apply
Age Criteria: There is no age limit for either UG or PG programme.
IPU LLB admission Criteria
To be considered for admission to UG or PG courses at IPU, the candidate needs to appear in CLAT2021
IP university doesn’t conduct any separate entrance exam, but rather uses CLAT scores for preparing merit lists for admission.

The candidate needs to first appear in CLAT 2021; the application form of CLAT 2021 is open, with the last date of application being March 31. Such candidates who successfully get registered for CLAT need to appear in the pen and paper exam, which will be conducted on June 13.

Type of Questions
The UG paper will have Multiple Type Questions (MCQs), whereas PG paper will have both MCQ-type and subjective type-questions.
MCQ questions will be based on passages.

Undergraduate Exam - 150 multiple choice type questions
Postgraduate Exam (LLM) - 100 questions + 2 essays (Subjective section)
An objective question (both UG and PG) will carry 1 mark, while for an incorrect question 0.25 marks will be deducted.
CLAT Result 2021
The Consortium of NLUs (CNLU) will declare the result of CLAT 2021 in online mode at conosrtiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT result 2021 will be released in the form of scorecards, which the candidate will be able to download after logging into the result portal. The CLAT 2021 result would contain information like subject-wise and overall marks, All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank (CR). The marks obtained by candidates in the entrance exam will be used for shortlisting candidates for the CLAT counselling and seat allotment process.
CLAT Merit List 2021
Admission officials will prepare category wise CLAT 2021 merit lists, which in addition to shortlist candidates for the counselling process will also be used for seat allotment. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance examination, with those with higher marks to be ranked higher. Note that higher the rank in the CLAT merit list, greater the chance of admission or being offered a seat of one’s preference.
CLAT Counselling 2021
The Consortium of NLUs will conduct centralized counselling of CLAT 2021, which will be completed in around three rounds. The counselling will be conducted in online mode. The seat allotment during counselling will be made programme wise for each participating institute, which include each of the 22 participating NLUs.
Candidates who make the cutoff for counselling will be sent CLAT 2021 counselling call letters (or invitation letters). Eligible candidates have to get registered, select NLUs and pay the counselling and NLU admission fee.

When I have to pay the fees and How to pay for CLAT 2021 ?
The last date to apply for CLAT 2021 is March 31st 2021 and the late date to pay the fees is also same March 31st 2021. You need to pay the fees online. Candidates may submit the CLAT application form 2021 by using a credit or debit card/net banking or UPI options. The fees for General/ OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO//OCI category is Rs. 4000 and the fees for SC/ST/BPL category is Rs. 3500. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct CLAT exam on June 13 (from 2 pm-4 pm). Candidates may apply for CLAT by registering at the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
