AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018 – NLU Delhi has announced AILET 2018 eligibility criteria in the month of January. The eligibility criteria of AILET 2018 specifies the minimum requirement for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The AILET eligibility criteria mention the pre-requisites regarding academic qualification and age for appearing in the NLU Delhi regulated law entrance test. Candidates are advised to check the AILET eligibility criteria before filling AILET 2018 application form. Candidates may note that those who apply for All India Law Entrance Test without meeting the eligibility criteria of AILET 2018 will be deemed to get their candidature cancelled at the time of NLU Delhi admisisons 2018, even if they qualify the law entrance examination. AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018: Academic qualifications for BA LLB programme
Candidates who have at least qualified Senior Secondary School Examination (of 10+2 education system) or equivalent examination can apply for BA LLB programmes in NLU Delhi.
The applicant should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of subjects at the 10+2 qualifying examination.
AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018: Academic qualifications for LLM programme
Candidates who have at least an LL.B degree or equivalent law degree from any institution recognised by BCI and the UGC can apply for LLM programmes at NLU Delhi.
The applicant should have obtained at least 55% marks in the qualifying LL.B degree examination.
Those who belong to SC/ ST/ Person with Disability (PwD) categories need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the LL.B degree examination.
Who else are eligible for AILET 2018?
Those who are appearing for 10+2 examination will also be considered eligible for the NLU Delhi BA LLB applications, subjected to the fulfilment of minimum percentage as mentioned above.
The applicants who are appearing in the final year of LL.B or equivalent law degree examination can be deemed fit for applying for LL.M programmes, provided they secure minimum percentage of marks as mentioned.
AILET Eligibility Criteria 2018: Age required for AILET 2018
According to Supreme Court's order of March 3, 2017, any law aspirant can fill the AILET application form at par revised AILET 2018 eligibility criteria. There is no age bar for AILET application forms as the apex court stays BCI's age policy for this year. Click here to read comple story.
Ealier, Bar Council of India (BCI) had revised age bar policy, according to which, candidates needed to be below 20 years of age as on July 1 of the admisison year and those who belong to SC/ST categories need to be below 22 years of age as on the same date.
Candidates who have gone through the eligibility criteria of All India Law Entrance Test can now fill AILET 2018 application form.
AILET 2018 will be conducted in paper-pen mode on May 6.
