National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) prescribes AILET eligibility criteria 2025 on its official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.ac.in. Candidates desirous of appearing for AILET 2025 must ensure they fulfil the AILET 2025 eligibility criteria. If candidates are found to not conform to the eligibility criteria of AILET 2025 at any stage of admission, they will be disqualified from the admission process.

The AILET eligibility criteria 2025 pertains to conditions such as minimum educational qualification, minimum passing marks, and AILET age limit for the candidates. NLU Delhi will conduct All India Law Entrance Test for admission into its BA LLB (Hons.) programme, while the AILET PG will be conducted for admission into its LLM programme. AILET 2025 will be conducted in offline mode tentatively in December 2024.

AILET Eligibility Criteria 2025 Details

The tables given below describe the eligibility criteria for various UG and PG law programmes of NLU Delhi. The university also prescribes a separate set of NLU Delhi eligibility criteria for foreign nationals.

NLU Delhi Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

Candidates admitted under Foreign Nationals/NRI category do not have to appear for AILET2025. However, they must fulfil the eligibility conditions as given below -

  • Candidates who possess the citizenship of a country other than India are eligible to apply under the foreign nationals category

  • Foreign nationals should make sure they possess the minimum educational qualification for foreign nationals as prescribed by NLU Delhi

  • Foreign nationals do not have to appear for AILET 2025 as their admission would be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

  • Candidates applying under Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/ Person of Indian Origin (PIO) have the option of applying under OCI/PIO or Indian students category. If they apply under the Indian students category, then they have to appear for AILET 2025.

  • The candidates under foreign National and OCI/PIO Category will be selected on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 65% in class 12 or equivalent exam to be eligible to apply under foreign nationals category.

  • Any vacant seats under foreign nationals/OCI/PIO category will be considered as general category seats and filled as per merit in AILET.

AILET Reservation Criteria 2025

NLU Delhi will allot seats as per the pre-defined reservation policy. Candidates who are applying under reserved category must make sure they fulfil the AILET eligibility criteria 2025 for the reserved category and possess the required certificates to claim the concessions under reserved category. The category wise reservation criteria of AILET 2024 is given below.

Important Points Regarding AILET 2025 Reservation

  • Candidates must have valid documents and certificates issued by the competent authorities to claim reservation.

  • Any vacant seats reserved for SC will be converted into ST seats and vice versa.

  • If SC and ST seats both remain vacant, then they will be converted to general category seats.

  • Only those candidates who are included in the Central List of OBCs or under the Delhi State List of OBCs (Notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi) will be eligible to apply under OBC category.

  • 5% horizontal reservation for PwD category

  • 30% horizontal reservation for women in reserved and foreign nationals category

NLU Delhi will release the AILET application form 2025 tentatively in August 2024. Candidates who fulfil the AILET exam eligibility can fill the application form from the university’s official website. The AILET 2023 application form will be available soon. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national level entrance exam administered annually by the National Law University (NLU). The examination is held for applicants interested in law programs at various NLU campuses across India.

Only eligible applicants will be able to access the application form.

The registration process will begin online in the third week of January 2023. And the entrance exam are likely to be conducted on 26th of june, 2023.

AILET 2022 exam date has been released by NLU Delhi and it is going to be conducted on June 26th, 2022 from 10-11:30 AM in offline mode.

For AILET 2022, Admit cards have also been released on June 16th, 2022 for registered candidates.

Also note that now Mathematics section has been dropped out from AILET 2022 from BA LLB entrance exam and now there will be only three sections namely :-

Section A : English Language (50 questions; 50 marks)

Section B : Current Affairs & General Knowledge (30 questions; 30 marks).

Section C : Logical Reasoning (70 questions; 70 marks).

The exam will be on ofline mode as pen paper test. For the entrance exam of 2023 , the notification will be release in the month of January 2023.
