DU LLB Merit List 2025 - Date, Tie Breaker Rules

Delhi University will prepare the DU LLB merit list 2025 as per the scores obtained by the candidates in CUET LLB 2025. The DU LLB seat allotment will be published by the university in three rounds. The first DU LLB seat allotment 2025 will be published tentatively in the 4th week of June 2025 as per the candidate's rank in the DU LLB 2025 merit list. The second and third DU LLB 2025 seat allotment will be published tentatively in July 2025 as per the merit list of DU LLB 2025. Allotted candidates will be required to complete the admission formalities to gain DU LLB 2025 admission. The NTA will declare the CUET LLB result 2025 tentatively on the second of April 2025. NTA is scheduled to conduct the CUET Law exam 2025 for LLB between March 13 to 31, 2025.

DU LLB Merit List 2025: Tie Breaker Rule

In case two or more candidates obtain the same marks or ranks, Delhi University has certain tie-breaker rules to select the candidates for admission. It’s important to be aware of these rules while taking part in the DU LLB admission process.

Given below are details about the tiebreaker rule for DU LLB 2025 merit list

• The candidate with higher marks in the first five semesters (three-year average for annual mode)of the qualifying Examination will be given higher rank
• If the tie does not break, then the candidate with the higher percentage of marks in the fifth (or last year, as applicable) of the qualifying examination will be assigned a higher rank.
• If the tie remains unbroken, then the higher percentage of the preceding semester/s (or year/s, as applicable) and so on will be considered to determine the higher rank.
• If the tie still persists then the senior candidate in terms of age will be given a higher rank.

Delhi University will conduct the DU LLB 2025 counselling process after the publication of the seat allotment. The DU LLB 2025 counselling will be conducted in three rounds. Candidates whose names appear in the DU LLB merit list 2025 will be allotted seats and invited to participate in the counselling process. The DU LLB counselling will be an offline process and will consist of the following steps:

• Acceptance of seat by the candidate

• Uploading of documents for verification
