Symbiosis International University (SIU) has released the SLAT 2024 exam pattern in online mode through its official website. SIU conducted SLAT 2024 in two phases. The SLAT 2024 Test 1 was conducted on May 5, 2024, while the SLAT Test 2 was conducted on May 11, 2024. Read on to get complete information about the SLAT exam pattern 2024, syllabus, section-wise marks distribution and other important details.

SLAT 2024 Exam Pattern

SLAT 2024 exam will be conducted in online mode at the centres designated by SIU. According to the SLAT paper pattern 2024, the language of the exam will be English. There will be total 60 questions in the exam carrying one mark each. Students will get a total time of 60 minutes to complete the entrance exam. SLAT Exam Pattern 2024 - Section Wise Distribution

The SLAT exam comprises a total of five sections - Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Each of the sections comprises 12 questions that carry one mark each. The section-wise distribution of questions and marks has been given below:

SLAT 2024 Selection Process

The selection process of SLAT 2024 is divided into two phases this time - SLAT 2024 and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The SLAT WAT has been removed this time. The weightage of each of these selection criterion of SLAT 2024 has been mentioned below:

• SLAT 2024 entrance exam: This is the first step towards getting admissions in any of the Symbiosis Law schools. Candidates interested in admissions at SIU’s law schools must first appear for the SLAT 2024 entrance examination. The examination scores will be scaled to 70 marks and will have 70% weight.

• Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who are shortlisted after the SLAT entrance examination will be called for the Personal Interview rounds. The personal interview is the final round in the selection process of SLAT. It carries 30% weight and will be for 30 marks. The PI will be held in online remote proctored mode. It will test the candidate's personality and suitability to take up law.

SLAT 2024 Marking Scheme

According to the official SLAT marking scheme, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer. The SLAT total marks are 60, which means total 60 questions, each carrying one mark. There is no negative marking in the exam for wrong answers.

SLAT Exam Pattern 2024 - Important Points

• All questions in SLAT 2024 will be multiple choice questions (MCQs).

• Each section of the exam carries equal weightage in terms of marks and questions.

• There might be few questions from comprehensive passages. Candidates are advised to read these comprehensive passages carefully.

• There is no negative marking in the exam.

• Candidates must first clear the SLAT exam to appear for the WAT and PI rounds.
