The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will announce the CLAT exam date 2027 along with the admission notification. The CLAT exam 2027 is likely to be held in the first week of December 2026, in offline mode. The application form for CLAT 2027 is likely to open in the first week of August 2026. The last date to register for CLAT 2027 will be notified in the admission notification. Candidates should note that the admit card for the CLAT exam is released around two weeks before the examination. The post-exam admission schedule, including announcement of results and counselling registration, is announced separately.

CLAT 2027 Exam Timings and Schedule

CLAT 2027 will most likely be conducted from 2 PM to 4 PM in offline mode at the designated exam centres across the country. Candidates must report to the exam centre at the prescribed reporting time and also carry a printout of the CLAT 2027 admit card.

CLAT 2027 Application Dates

The Consortium of NLUs will open the CLAT 2027 registration likely in the first week of August 2026, in online mode. Candidates can submit the CLAT application form from the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in before the deadline. The CLAT registration 2027 opens for 5-year LLB and one-year LLM programmes offered by participating national law universities (NLUs).

Candidates have to follow the steps as mentioned below to complete their registration.

  • Register and create a CLAT 2027 candidate login
  • Enter personal information
  • Provide communication details
  • Provide education details
  • Select three CLAT exam centres
  • Update reservation preferences and submit the application form

The CLAT 2027 registration fee will be Rs. 4,000 for general and OBC candidates and Rs. 3,500 for SC, ST, BPL and PwD candidates. After the application form is closed, the Consortium of NLUs will also open an application correction window.

CLAT 2027 Admit Card Date

The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT admit card 2027 tentatively two weeks before the exam. The admit card of CLAT 2027 is a mandatory document that every candidate must carry with them on the day of the exam. The admit card comprises important details like the name of the candidate, CLAT 2027 exam date, name of the exam centre, detailed address of the exam centre, timings of the test, important instructions and more. Students can download their admit cards through the CLAT candidate portal.

CLAT 2027 Exam Date

The Consortium of NLUs is expected to conduct CLAT 2027 in the first week of December 2026. The consortium usually conducts the exam on the first Sunday of December. The exam will be conducted at around 131 exam centres across the country. The CLAT exam is a pen-and-paper-based test based on comprehensive-type questions. According to the CLAT exam pattern 2027, there will be a total of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be attempted in two hours. The CLAT syllabus 2027 comprises five subjects - English Language, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.

CLAT Answer Key Date 2027

The Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT provisional answer key 2027 tentatively 1-2 days after the exam. After releasing the CLAT answer key, the authorities will open an objection window online. Through this window, candidates will be allowed to raise their objections against the provisional answer key. After considering the objections raised by the students, the Consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT final answer key 2027. The CLAT 2027 result will be declared based on the final answer key.

CLAT 2027 Result Date

The CLAT results 2027 will be declared tentatively one week after the exam. The CLAT 2027 scorecard will denote the marks secured by candidates in the entrance exam. It also specifies the All India Rank (AIR) and category rank secured by candidates in the test. Candidates who have a valid score in the CLAT 2027 results will be eligible to register for the counselling process.

CLAT Counselling Dates 2027

The registrations for CLAT counselling 2027 started shortly after the announcement of the results. Candidates can complete the CLAT 2027 counselling registration online through their login. To register for the CLAT 2027 counselling process, candidates have to pay the counselling registration fee, which will be adjusted against the university fee.

There will be five rounds of centralised CLAT 2027 counselling. The authorities will publish the CLAT 2027 merit list for each round of counselling. Candidates included in the merit list are required to pay the confirmation fee and the university fees within the prescribed deadline to obtain seat allotment.
