The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies will declare the ULSAT 2026 result for LLB few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates can check their ULSAT results 2026 by logging into the admission portal of the university. The qualified candidates in ULSAT 2026 will get an invitation from the university to attend the counselling for admission. The result of the ULSAT 2026 entrance exam will include the necessary details such as the name of the examination, entrance exam score, candidate’s rank and more. UPES conducts GD and PI for the shortlisted candidates and prepares the merit list based on their performance in these rounds. The exam is conducted once every year for admissions to 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM courses. UPES also conducts law admissions without an entrance exam based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Candidates who obtained 75% or above in 10th and 12th, and candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in class 10th and 12th, along with CLAT AIR ranking up to 15000, are exempted from appearing for ULSAT 2026.

ULSAT Counselling - What Happens after ULSAT Result 2026?
The candidates who are shortlisted in the ULSAT 2026 entrance exam will be invited for the group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) round. Candidates will be shortlisted for GD PI round of UPES based on their rank in the merit list which is released by the university after result declaration. Such candidates will be informed about the GD and PI round through their registered email and they will have to appear in these rounds to be considered for admission to UPES. Selected candidates must get their documents verified and pay the required fees to complete the admission process.

UPES Law admission through CLAT 2026
Candidates who have a rank of up to 15,000 in the Common Law Admission Test are eligible for the 5-year LLB course offered by UPES. They need not appear for ULSAT 2026
UPES Law admission through Board Exams
- Candidates who have secured 75% marks in both higher secondary and senior secondary with five main subjects (English compulsory) need not appear for ULSAT 2026. They will get direct admission to 5-year LLB programmes.
- Candidates with 50% marks or above in classes 10th and 12th with the main five subjects (English as one of the compulsory subjects) and a CLAT rank higher than 15000 need not appear for ULSAT.
