Jalandhar - In today’s fast-evolving landscape shaped by legal, technological, and regulatory shifts, the role of legal professionals has grown far beyond traditional courtroom practice. LPU School of Law have opened admissions for the upcoming academic session and the applications for admission will be closing shortly. LPU School of Law offers a comprehensive range of Bar Council of India-approved programs: BA LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. Committed to preparing students for diverse legal careers, the School has earned national recognition—ranked amongst Top 20 in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

At the core of LPU’s legal education model is a strong focus on experiential learning, anchored by its EduRevolution initiative. In their pursuit of academic excellence, students not only master the theoretical underpinnings of the law but are also trained to tackle complex legal challenges—from corporate compliance to cyber law and intellectual property—through simulation-based education. Moot court competitions, drafting workshops, mock trials, and trial advocacy exercises help students refine critical legal skills under the mentorship of seasoned faculty and industry practitioners who visit the campus every now and then.

A defining feature of LPU’s School of Law is its student-led Moot Court Society, which plays an active role in cultivating advocacy skills. Students regularly participate in intra-university, national, and international moot court competitions, judged by sitting and retired Supreme Court and High Court judges. These platforms offer invaluable courtroom exposure, boosting both confidence and competence.

Paying heed to the noble vision enshrined in Article 39A of the Constitution of India, the Law School also runs a Legal Aid Clinic in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala. Through legal aid camps in rural communities and awareness drives around campus, students develop a deep sense of civic responsibility while engaging with real-life legal issues.

LPU’s emphasis on global engagement further elevates the learning experience. Students benefit from international exchange programs, summer schools, and academic collaborations with renowned institutions, gaining a nuanced understanding of transnational legal systems and preparing for cross-border legal careers.

The success of this integrated approach is reflected in the career paths of LPU law graduates. Students like Mannat Bassi at Trident, Nikita Parihar at Bharucha & Partners, Zoya Abid at Skillkart, and Shabaan at GEP Worldwide in Hyderabad are few examples who are excelling across legal, corporate, and leadership roles—testament to the standing of School of Law. Students are also completing reputed internships with several key ministries including Ministry of Law and Justice under the Government of India, with Senior Advocates and Advocate on Record in Supreme Court of India besides obtaining exposure with leading PSU’s and think-tanks.

“As legal professionals, our graduates must be equipped to think critically, argue persuasively, and act ethically,” said Dr. Pavitar Parkash Singh, Head of LPU School of Law. “Our goal is to empower students to tackle complex legal challenges and contribute meaningfully to society. We embrace the pursuit of knowledge, uphold integrity, and strive to shape a brighter future for the legal profession.”

Attracting students from across India and over 50 countries, LPU has emerged as a preferred destination for aspiring legal minds. With a strong emphasis on global collaborations, practical learning, and interdisciplinary education, the university is not just a place of study—it is a Launchpad for building a meaningful and impactful career in law.

Hello Aspirant,

Congratulations! You have multiple admission options!! Here is a short comparison to help you decide:

  • SRM Ramapuram : Good brand value for placement opportunities - placement is the most positive area for the university. Ramapuram is a smaller campus and typically, has more of an industry focus compared to the Kattankulathur campus.
  • LPU Jalandhar: Modern campus with national diversity, they boast good placements in CSE/IT, moderate ECE, and not as core focused. Fees are heavier than your other options and Jalandhar is also more distance from Tamil Nadu.
  • Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) : Good name in Tamil Nadu as a part of Anna University. More geared to ECE core learning with affordable fees, better placement at the local level, and less distance.  Probably represents a more stable option for you if you are likely to be TNEA based and expect a long-term outcome.

If you value core ECE, want to be in Tamil Nadu, then Rajalakshmi Engineering College is a solid options. If however, you have an interest in attending a private university with more academics that are flexible and prepared to relocate: SRM Ramapuram is also an option.

Hello,

Choosing between LPU (Lovely Professional University) and PSIT (Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology), Kanpur for B.Tech in Computer Science with AI/ML depends on your priorities. LPU offers a modern campus, global exposure, and an industry-aligned curriculum, along with vibrant campus life and strong placement support, though some top salary claims have faced scrutiny. PSIT, on the other hand, provides a more disciplined academic environment with a consistent placement record in companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. While average packages may be lower, PSIT’s focus on job readiness is valued. If you seek global exposure and a dynamic experience, choose LPU; for structure and reliable placements, PSIT is a solid choice.

Choosing between Chandigarh University (CU) and Lovely Professional University (LPU) with a 30% scholarship at both requires a careful evaluation of multiple factors. In terms of placement and industry exposure, both universities are competitive, especially for Computer Science and related fields. CU has been attracting top recruiters like Microsoft and Amazon, and similarly, LPU maintains strong industry ties and offers students global exposure through partnerships and internships. When it comes to academics and infrastructure, LPU has a slight advantage due to its expansive campus, state-of-the-art labs, and innovation hubs. CU, while smaller, has shown impressive growth and offers a solid academic environment. From a logistical standpoint, both universities are located in Punjab, but CU’s proximity to Chandigarh city may make it more accessible. The cost of living is fairly similar in both areas. However, a crucial factor is your COMEDK result. If you expect a good score, waiting could open doors to top Karnataka engineering colleges like RVCE, BMSCE, or MSRIT, which often offer better placement opportunities and industry connections. If your COMEDK score is uncertain and you want to secure a seat early, LPU might be the more advantageous option due to its broader national reputation and infrastructure advantages. Ultimately, if your COMEDK score is promising, waiting is wise; otherwise, LPU is a solid choice with your current scholarship offer.
