Through SLAT 2026 candidates will get admission into the BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes of the four Symbiosis Law Schools. SLAT 2026 will be conducted in online mode at exam centres located in 77 cities across the country. SLAT 2026 carries 70% weightage in the selection process. The exam will be followed by a Personal Interaction (PI) round which carries the remaining 30% weightage in the SLAT 2026 selection process. What is SLAT Exam?

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test popularly known as SLAT is an entrance test for admission to 5-year LLB programmes offered by participating Symbiosis Law Schools. The SLAT exam is conducted by the Symbiosis International Univerity (SIU). There are four law schools of SIU namely SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad, and SLS Nagpur. These colleges offer BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) after selecting candidates through SLAT 2026 and a personal interview. The SLAT 2026 will tests the candidate's ability in legal reasoning, logical reasoning, analytical reasoning, general knowledge, and reading comprehension.

SLAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University will prescribe the SLAT 2026 eligibility criteria on its official website. The eligibility criteria of SLAT 2026 include requirements about minimum educational qualification, minimum passing marks, and age limit. Those candidates who fail to fulfil the SLAT eligibility criteria 2026 will be disqualified from the admission process even if they are shortlisted in the Symbiosis Law School entrance exam. The detailed eligibility criteria for SLAT 2026 are given in the table below.

SLAT Application Form 2026

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University will open the SLAT 2026 application form tentatively in August 2025. Candidates can register for SLAT 2026 online from its official website - set-test.org. The candidates will have the option to submit the SLAT application form 2026 for any one or both phases of SLAT 2026. In case the candidate appears for both phases, the best score among the two will be considered

To complete the SLAT 2026 registration, candidates must pay the required SLAT registration fee for each phase as prescribed by the university. In addition to paying the SLAT 2026 registration fee, candidates must also pay an additional programme registration fee of Rs. 1000 per course per law school to which they wish to apply. Candidates will be considered for admission in only those Symbiosis Law Schools and their corresponding programmes for which they have paid the programme registration fee. It must be noted that the university does not allow any corrections after submitting the SLAT 2026 application form. Therefore, candidates must be very careful during the registration process.

Steps to Submit SLAT 2026 Application Form

Candidates can complete SLAT registration 2026 by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website - set-test.org

  • Click on the SLAT 2026 registration link

  • Next, fill the registration form

  • Complete the initial registration using email id and mobile number. The email id and mobile number must be verified by the candidate. The registered email id will be used by the university for all future correspondence.

  • Upload a passport-size colour photograph not more than four months old.

  • Next, choose the mode of payment of the application fee either online or through DD

  • Pay the prescribed SLAT 2026 registration fee.

  • Now, select the desired institute and the desired programme.

  • Pay the programme fees of Rs 1000 per institute per programme. If the candidate selects two programmes at the same institute, then the candidate has to pay Rs. 2000.

  • In case of offline payment, the DD needs to be sent to the Symbiosis test secretariat.

Requirements for Offline Payment through DD

  • DD must be from any nationalised bank drawn in favour of the “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune.

  • Candidates must take a printout of the payment advice form and fill in the DD details in it. This payment advice must then be signed by the candidate and sent along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat.

  • Upon receiving the DD, the Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the payment and send a payment confirmation mail to the candidate.

Cracking the SLAT 2026 examination will not be an easy task. To ace the SLAT 2026, preparation and knowledge wouldn’t be enough. SLAT Exam Pattern 2026

Aspiring candidates must go through the SLAT 2026 exam pattern before appearing for the exam. The exam pattern of SLAT 2026 lays out the modalities of the exam including the sections, mark distribution, and marking scheme. SLAT 2026 will be conducted in online mode. SLAT 2026 Mock Test

Symbiosis International University will notify the SLAT 2026 mock test date on its official website. It will conduct the SLAT mock test 2026 tentatively in October 2025. Candidates who will complete their SLAT 2026 registration will be eligible to appear for the test. Candidates can access the mock test of SLAT 2026 through their login.

SLAT 2026 Admit Card

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University will issue the SLAT 2026 admit card tentatively in December 2025. Candidates can download the admit card for SLAT 2026 from the official website by logging into their account. Candidates will have to ensure that their latest passport-size color photograph is pasted on the SLAT admit card 2026. SLAT 2026 admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried to the exam hall on the exam. The admit card for SLAT 2026 can only be downloaded online. The university will not issue a physical copy of the admit card. Candidates are required to carry a color printout of the admit card as a black-and-white printout is invalid. The admit card for SLAT 2026 must be preserved till the end of the admission process.

Symbiosis International (Deemed) University will notify the SLAT exam centres 2026 in the SLAT exam notification. The SLAT entrance exam will be conducted at 77 test centres across the country. Candidates can provide their SLAT 2026 test centre preferences at the time of filling up the SLAT 2026 application form. Candidates are allowed to provide a maximum of three SLAT 2026 exam centre preferences at the time of registration. The allotment of the centres will be done based on availability and the preferences submitted by the candidate.

Normalisation Process for SLAT 2026 Result

Despite SLAT 2026 being conducted in two phases, the university will not adopt a normalisation process for SLAT 2026 result for the two tests. SIU notified that the tests have been scientifically designed to ensure there is no unfair advantage for candidates appearing in any one or multiple tests. The question papers for both phases will be prepared in a manner that both have the same difficulty level and the questions will be unique.

SLAT 2026 Selection Process

The SLAT 2026 selection process consists of the Personal Interaction process. Shortlisted candidates from SLAT 2026 are required to participate in SLAT PI which will be held in online remote proctored mode.

Once the SLAT result 2026 is declared, shortlisted candidates are required to book their PI slots online and upload the required documents to attend the PI. The Personal Interaction seeks to test the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and suitability to study law. Candidates can attend the PI round at only that SLS for which they paid the programme registration fee at the time of SLAT 2026 registration. Only those candidates who attend both the components of the SLAT 2026 selection process will be able to gain admission.

The candidate’s score in SLAT 2026 will be scaled to 70 marks while the PI will carry 30 marks. The final SLAT merit list 2026 will be prepared based on the candidate’s composite scores in the SLAT entrance exam and personal interview. The SLAT WAT has been removed from the selection process of SLAT 2026.

Each of the participating SLS will publish the SLAT 2026 merit list on its website. The merit list of SLAT 2026 will be prepared based on the composite scores obtained in SLAT 2026 and the PI round. Candidates included in the SLAT merit list 2026 are required to participate in the counselling and admission process.

SLAT Counselling 2026

Candidates whose names are included in the SLAT 2026 merit list must participate in SLAT 2026 counselling to gain admission. The merit list prepared by Symbiosis International University is only provisional. Such candidates are required to pay the fees prescribed by the university and submit the required documents to confirm their admission. Candidates who fail to submit the fees within the prescribed deadline will not be considered for admission.
