KLEE LLM Syllabus 2025: Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala prescribes the KLEE LLM syllabus and pattern. Candidates appearing for the entrance exam should refer to KLEE LLM 2025 syllabus to know about the subjects they need to study. KLEE LLM syllabus 2025 focuses on Jurisprudence, Law of crimes, Administrative law, etc. The KLEE LLM syllabus is divided into two parts that are Part - A and Part - B. Each part consists of 100 questions. Read further to know in detail about the KLEE LLM syllabus 2025, exam pattern and recommended books.
KLEE LLM 2025 exam will be conducted for admission to LLM programmes offered by law colleges in Kerala. There are four government law colleges and eight self-financed colleges that will accept KLEE LLM scores for admissions.
The syllabus is divided into two parts i.e. ‘Part A’ and ‘Part B’. Students are required to attempt all the questions and score at least 50% marks to pass the exam. Part A in the KLEE LLM 2025 syllabus has four subjects and each subject section consists of 25 questions.

The full form of KLEE is the Kerala Law Entrance Exam which is a state-level exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exam.

No KLEE is not required for admission to BA LLB Hons in most colleges outside Kerala KLEE is the Kerala Law Entrance Examination a state level entrance test conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations CEE Kerala for admission to law colleges in Kerala three year LLB five year integrated LLB including BA LLB in government and participating private colleges in the state
Most other colleges in India including many offering BA LLB Hons accept exams like CLAT or LSAT India not KLEE for admissions For example some law colleges use LSAT or CLAT scores as part of their selection process
So if you want to join a law college in Kerala that accepts KLEE then yes you may need to take KLEE
If you are applying outside Kerala most colleges will ask for CLAT or LSAT India scores instead KLEE will not be required
With a KLEE rank of 1,267 under the SC/ST category, you have a good chance of getting admission in government law colleges in Kerala. In previous years, Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram had closing ranks around 969 for SC and 2,120 for ST. Government Law College Ernakulam had closing ranks around 610 for SC and 688 for ST.
Your rank falls within or close to these ranges, so you have a strong chance of admission, especially if you participate in counselling on time and complete all required steps.

Based on previous KLEE cut-offs , getting admission in Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram with 162 marks under reservation might be difficult.
For the 3-year LLB course, last ranks for reserved categories were around:
SC: 515
ST: 1870
BH (Backward Hindu): 315
For the 5-year LLB course, last ranks were around:
SC: 969
ST: 2120
BH: 352
These ranks usually relate to higher marks than 162.

Sorry, but there aren't any exact numbers of the students in the KLEE exam 2025. But according to the 2024 data, approximately 4,000 students applied for the 5-year LLB program and 2,500 candidates for the 3-year LLB program.
