BLAT 2017BLAT 2017 – Banaras Hindu University conducted BLAT 2017 on May 17 for admissions to BA LLB programmes offered at Faculty of Law. The result of BLAT 2017 was declared on June 19. The application form of BLAT 2017 was earlier available from February 2, 2017 when BHU opened the online application window. BHU offers admission to around 60 seats of BA LLB programme through Undergraduate Test 2017. BHU Law Admission Test was conducted in offline mode in as many as 16 cities of India. BLAT Admission Procedure 2017


BHU shortlists candidates on basis of merit list prepared after the announcement of BLAT results. The candidates qualifying BLAT 2017 as per the minimum marks criteria are eligible for admission to BA LLB programmes. Besides, candidates also need to fulfil academic criteria and age limit criteria as mentioned by Banaras Hindu University. Moreover, candidates with equal marks in BLAT will be ranked in merit list of BLAT as mentioned below -

  • Candidates having higher marks in qualifying examination of 10+2 standard will be given preference

  • Further, candidates elder in age will be preferred

The admission for BA LLB programmes will be done only on basis of BLAT 2017 admission criteria.


BLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017


The eligibility criteria for BLAT 2017 was announced along with admission notification as released by BHU. BLAT 2017 eligibility criteria specifies academic qualification, age limit and other criteria for admissions to BA LLB programme. Candidates could check below the eligibility criteria for BLAT 2017 as mentioned below -

  • Candidates passed or appearing in 10+2 standard qualifying examination from any recognised Board of Education in India or equivalent

  • Candidates needed to obtained minimum 50% marks if belonging to General category. 45% marks for OBC category candidates and 40% for SC/ST categories candidates

  • Candidates must not be more than 20 years of age and for reserved categories candidates i.e. SC/ST must not be more than 22 years of age at the time of admission

BLAT Application Form 2017


The online application of BLAT 2017 was available from February 2, 2017. Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria could fill in the application form of BLAT 2017 as provided below - 

  1. Click on link for BLAT 2017 Application form

  2. Register with ‘new user’ for BLAT 2017 using a valid e-mail id and mobile number

  3. A registration number will be sent on the registered email id of candidates

  4. Login with registration number to fill in the application form of BHU Law Admission Test 2017

  5. Candidates needed to fill in academic qualification details, reserved category details, communication address besides uploading recent passport size photograph and signature

  6. The application fee for BLAT can be remitted in online mode or offline mode

  7. Candidates needed to click on ‘Submit’ button for BLAT application form submission

BLAT Exam Centres 2017


BHU Law Admission Test was conducted in offline mode at test centres in as many as 16 cities all over India. Candidates were allotted test centre as per the preference marked by them during BLAT 2017 application process. However, BHU reserves right to add or cancel test centres for BLAT as per the requirement (due to more or less number of test takers). The allotted test centre was also mentioned on admit card of BLAT 2017 for each exam appearing candidate. The list of BLAT test centres as announced by BHU was mentioned in the table below -

BLAT Admit Card 2017

BHU issued the Admit Card for BLAT 2017 from April 24 onwards. Candidates were issued admit card of BHU Law Admission Test in online mode only. The admit card of BLAT 2017 mentioned details including candidate information, exam date and timing, test centre name and location and could be downloaded as mentioned below -

BLAT Answer Key 2017


BHU released answer key for BLAT 2017 on May 22, 2017 for all sets of question paper. The University released provisional answer key for receiving objections by candidates. After candidates submit objections on provisional answer key, BHU cross-checked the answer key and released final key (with correction if any). The answer key of BLAT 2017 was useful for candidates to verify their responses as marked in OMR sheet. BLAT Result 2017

BLAT Merit List 2017


The merit list of BLAT 2017 will be released after the announcement of result by July 2, 2017, tentatively. The candidates obtaining higher marks will be ranked higher in the merit list of BLAT 2017. Candidates qualifying BLAT 2017 and fulfilling eligibility criteria will be issued call letter for seat allotment process. BHU will be releasing counselling schedule after the announcement of BLAT merit list 2017. In case of ties between two or more candidates obtaining same marks, BHU will be resolve ties as mentioned below -

  • Candidate obtaining higher marks in 10+2 qualifying examination will be ranked higher

  • In case of further ties, candidates senior in age will be preferred

BLAT Counselling 2017


BHU has announced counselling schedule of BLAT 2017 by July 5. Candidates are being issued call letter afte the announcement of result. The call letter of BLAT 2017 mentions counselling venue, time, roll number, and instructions for counselling. Candidates need to attend counselling in person along with the required documents. The candidates first need to get their documents verification, complete other formalities and deposit admission and academic fee for BA LLB admission.
