The Bar Council of India (BCI) has released the Certificate of Practice (CoP) for candidates who qualified in the AIBE 20 examination. The CoP serves as a permanent license that grants advocates the legal authority to practice law in courts across India. State bar council generally release CoP three to five months of the AIBE results being announced. Since the AIBE 20 results were declared on January 07, 2026, the physical CoPs have now been dispatched to the respective State Bar Councils for distribution.
The CoP issuance process starts with the activation of the digital status on the AIBESCOPE mobile application, followed by the distribution of physical CoP copies through the respective State Bar Councils. The digital CoP is only meant for status tracking and is neither downloadable nor considered a valid Certificate of Practice. Qualified candidates can collect the physical CoP from their respective State Bar Council as per the notified schedule.
