CUET BA LLB Exam Pattern 2025: NTA will conduct CUET BA LLB 2025 tentatively in May 2025. The exam pattern of CUET BA LLB informs the candidates about the marking scheme, sections, relevant topics, number of questions and duration of the exam. Familiarising with the CUET BA LLB 2025 exam pattern will eventually help students prepare well for the examination as it will assist candidates in gaining good CUET BA LLB total marks in the CUET exam 2025. The CUET BA LLB 2025 has three sections namely language, domain-specific subject (legal studies), and general test.

Candidates are required to attempt 40 out of 50 questions in language and legal studies, and 50 out of 60 questions in the general test. Each section has MCQs which candidates have to attempt within the stipulated duration. Section 1 A (Language) - In this section, candidates have 13 language options. They can choose any language out of these. The complete list of languages can be found in the table below. Candidates have to attempt 40 out of 50 questions in this section.
Section 1 B (Language) - In this section, candidates get the option to choose from 20 language subjects. The complete list of languages is described in the table below. Candidates have to attempt 40 out of a total of 50 questions in this section.

It’s important to note that candidates get 45 minutes per language for the language section.

Section 2 (Legal Studies): Section is domain specific subject. There are a total of 27 domain-specific subjects. In the case of CUET BA LLB 2025, the subject is Legal Studies. Candidates will have to attempt 35-40 questions from among 45-50 questions in this section and they will get a total of 45 minutes for this section. Some important topics in this section include Judiciary topics, topics of law, legal maxims, arbitration, and more.
Section 3 (General Test) - The general test will be for 60 minutes and candidates have to attempt 50 out of 60 questions. This section will test the candidates on general awareness, reasoning, and numerical ability.
Candidates can choose a maximum of 10 subjects from all the options listed above (13 languages in section 1A, 20 languages in section 1b and 27 subjects in the domain-specific section). However, reports suggest that this year the subjects in CUET UG may be reduced to six. NTA will conduct the CUET Law exam in three shifts per day and the duration of the exams within each shift and among shifts, is independent of each other and is likely to vary. The sections are non-navigational and candidates have to attempt each section independently.
