Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test, popularly known as TS LAWCET is a state-level law entrance examination conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad . The TS LAWCET exam is conducted for admissions to 5-year integrated LLB, and 3-year LLB courses offered by law colleges in Telangana . There are around 3,597 seats for the 3-year programme and approximately 1,580 seats for the 5-year integrated programmes. 5-year integrated LLB programmes include BA LLB , BBA LLB , and B.Com LLB .
Candidates preparing for the TS LAWCET exam should familiarise themselves with the TS LAWCET exam pattern . The entrance test is conducted for 1 hour and 30 minutes duration. Candidates who wish to appear for TS LAWCET 2024 exam must learn about the eligibility criteria specified by the authorities. The TS LAWCET eligibility criteria 2024 has been released by the exam conducting body. Only those applicants who meet the TS LAWCET 2024 eligibility criteria will be considered for admission. Osmania University has released the TS LAWCET application form 2024 on March 1, 2024. The eligible candidates can apply online through the official portal - lawcet.tsche.ac.in. There is a common TS LAWCET application form for both UG and PG courses. Candidates will however have to give the course preference while filling out the application form.
The exam authority provides more than one deadline for TS LAWCET 2024 registration. Candidates can fill the TS LAWCET 2024 application form by April 15, 2024. After the first deadline, late fee is charged which increases after each deadline. The late fee starts at Rs. 500 and goes up to Rs. 4000 by the end of the last deadline, which is May 25, 2024.
Candidates are recommended to use only genuine and verifiable information, as anyone found using counterfeit information stands to be disqualified.
Pay the application fee - The first step in the TS LAWCET application process is the payment of the application fee. Online payments can be made using: net banking, and credit or debit cards. Another option is to visit a TS - AP centre, which are online centre operated by the authorities at various locations, and make the payment.
Check payment status : Upon payment of the fee, check your fee payment status. If payment is successful, move to the next step.
Registration - Fill in the registration form and create an applicant account.
Fill the form - In this step, enter your personal, academic, and contact details and finally submit the form.
The university will also provide a correction window for TS LAWET 2024 application form. During this period, candidates can edit certain details on their application form. These include qualifying examination details, local area status, annual income of the parents, address for correspondence, e-mail ID, gender, Aadhaar card details etc.
For any other changes such as qualifying hall ticket number, name, parents' name, mobile number, signature, or photograph, candidates have to make a written request to the convenor of TS LAWCET 2024 through an email ID. Such emails must be sent to convener.lawcet@tsche.ac.in along with the scanned documents.

TSCHE has released the syllabus TS LAWCET 2024. Candidates appearing for the TS LAWCET exam 2024 should prepare according to the subjects mentioned in the syllabus. The TS LAWCET syllabus is common for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB entrance exams. It has been divided into three parts - general knowledge and mental ability, current affairs and legal aptitude. Osmania University will release the preliminary TS LAWCET 2024 answer key around two-three days after the exam. By using the answer key of TS LAWCET 2024, candidates will be able to calculate their marks. The answer key is released along with the TS LAWCET objection filing form. Candidates who have objections against the official answer key will be able to raise their objections online.

To count the TS LAWCET marks, candidates should add one mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking in the examination, so no marks need to be deducted for incorrect answers.
Osmania University will declare the result of TS LAWCET 2024 tentatively in June 2024. The result of TS LAWCET 2024 will be announced at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. TS LAWCET results were announced in the form of individual rank cards, containing such information as the TS LAWCET rank 2024, sectional and overall marks obtained by the candidate in the exam.
Additionally, the TS LAWCET 2024 rank cards are also issued. The rank card mentions the qualifying status and rank of the candidate; those who qualify in the exam will only be eligible to participate in subsequent TS LAWCET counselling and seat allotment processes.
There are certain minimum marks (or percentages) the candidate has to secure in the TS LAWCET 2024 to qualify/pass the exam. Such candidates who secure the minimum qualifying exam or more will be called for counselling and seat allotment, while the remaining candidates will be disqualified. The qualifying marks (percentage) are category-specific as shown in the table below:

Soon after the declaration of results, admission officials prepare the TS LAWCET 2024 merit list using the marks scored by the candidate in the entrance exam. One fundamental reason for preparing the TS LAWCET merit list is to shortlist candidates for the counselling and seat allotment process. Depending on the number of seats available for various programmes, admission officials will make general and category-specific merit lists; and using these merit lists candidates will be invited for counselling.
Typically those ranked higher in the TS LAWCET merit list 2024 get preference during the seat allotment process.
It may happen that two or more candidates may end up securing the same marks in the state-level exam. In such an event, the ranking of such candidates will be determined in the following way:
The admission conducting authority released the category-wise TS LAWCET cutoff 2024 for all the participating colleges during the counselling. Also, the TS LAWCET 2024 cutoff will be course-specific. The cutoff would indicate the last rank for which admission is given to a course for a particular category or institute. Candidates who score below this cutoff in the chosen course (or category or institute), he/she will not be considered for admission.
The various factors on which TS LAWCET 2024 cutoff would depend include the number of applicants, their performance in the LAWCET 2024 entrance exam, number of sanctioned seats, the category of the candidate, etc. If any of these parameters change, the cutoff will also automatically change.
Mode of Counselling: Offline
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will conduct TS LAWCET 2024 counselling tentatively in June-July. Candidates who secure the minimum cutoff will be eligible for TS LAWCET counselling registration.
During the registration, candidates will also have to exercise the web options by entering the college choices. The counselling of TS LAWCET 2024 is the last stage of the admission process during which the exam officials would verify the documents and information submitted by the candidates. The candidate must get their documents verified at designated centres. Post document verification, the candidate has to participate in web counselling, during which the choice should be filled and locked. Since TS LAWCET 2024 seat allotment is based on both the merit rank of the candidate and selected options.
