The Delhi HC said it will take up the cases on priority as it is aware of the students' anxiety as now the board exams are also going on. The demarcation of the result petition into CLAT UG and PG is being done with the objective of a speedy resolution of the cases.
The Delhi HC heard the CLAT 2025 result petitions on March 3 and has scheduled the next hearing on April 7. It has directed the counsels representing the candidates to compile a common list of petitions that pertain to both CLAT UG and PG.
The outcome of the CLAT 2025 March hearing is not out yet. Since there are many cases to be heard, the outcome may take time. However, the Delhi HC is expected to deliver the verdict soon.
The revised results of CLAT 2025 will have an impact on the candidate's CLAT 2025 score. However, the revised result is unlikely to have any impact on the CLAT cut-off for various NLUs. The cut-off rank for premier NLUs is likely to be around 100-150 ranks for premier universities such as NLSIU Bengaluru and NALSAR Hyderabad.
The CLAT 2025 revised results will impact a candidate's rank in a big way. A change of even 1-2 marks is expected to increase or decrease a candidate's rank by 1000.
The court petitions on CLAT PG 2025 pertain to mistakes in the answer key and the exorbitant cost of raising objections against the answer key. At present the objection fee is Rs 1000 per question.
The consortium has argued that the CLAT 2025 answer key has been prepared by experts. The court has no business in interfering in academic matters. It has challenged the court's verdict to revise the answer key.
The Delhi HC has delivered judgements in the case of Aditya Singh vs Consortium of NLUs twice before. First, the single judge bench ordered two modifications in the CLAT 2025 answer key. The answer to question no. 14 in set A was changed from D to C. Question no. 100 was withdrawn. Later the division bench of the Delhi HC upheld the judgment. The Consortium of NLUs is challenging this court order.
