About KLEE 2025
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Kerala (CEE Kerala) will issue a detailed KLEE 2025 notification on its official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, informing the KLEE 2025 dates. It will open the KLEE 2025 application form tentatively in July 2025. Interested candidates can apply from the official website. CEE Kerala will conduct KLEE 2025 for admissions into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating colleges in Kerala.
The KLEE entrance exam syllabus has four sections namely general English, general knowledge, arithmetic and mental ability, and aptitude for legal studies. There are a total of 200 multiple-choice questions spread across the four sections. Each question carries 3 marks each. The total marks in KLEE 2025 exam is 600 marks. There is also a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
Only those candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the KLEE 2025 entrance exam will be invited to participate in the centralised online counselling process. The minimum qualifying marks in KLEE 2025 for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB is 10% for candidates from the general/OBC category and 5% for candidates from SC/ST categories. There is no minimum qualifying marks in KLEE LLM.
What is KLEE?
The KLEE full form is Kerala Law Entrance Examination. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala conducts the KLEE entrance exam, for admission into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of participating law colleges in Kerala. KLEE is conducted once a year in online mode at designated test centres in Kerala.
KLEE 2025 Notification
The KLEE 2025 admission notification will be issued tentatively in July 2025 at cee.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates can apply and submit the KLEE application form 2025 online. The KLEE 2025 is expected to be held in August 2025 in online mode. Candidates must note that CEE Kerala conducts separate exams for KLEE 3-year LLB, KLEE 5-year LLB and KLEE LLM. Through the Kerala Law Entrance Exam, candidates will gain admission into 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB and LLM courses in participating colleges.
KLEE 2025 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of KLEE 2025 follows the same structure for five-year integrated LLB and three-year LLB. The exam duration is 2 hours and candidates are required to attempt 200 MCQs. The KLEE syllabus 2025 consists of four sections on general english (60 questions), general knowledge (45 questions), arithmetic and mental ability (25 questions), and aptitude for legal studies (70 questions). KLEE LLM exam will have 200 questions on different topics of law divided into two parts Part A and Part B with 100 questions each. Each question carries 3 marks and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
How to take KLEE 2025 in a Computer-based Test Mode?
CEE Kerala will release the KLEE 2025 exam guidelines on its official website for each of the three exams to familiarise candidates with how to attempt the online exam. On the exam day, candidates have to first attempt a mock test 15 minutes before the start of the actual test to make themselves familiar with the exam. After completion of the mock test, candidates would be automatically redirected to the actual KLEE exam. The KLEE entrance exam would automatically start and a timer would be visible on the top right side of the screen. The questions with options would be displayed one at a time. KLEE Exam Day Guidelines 2025
Given below are the general instructions to be followed by the candidates on the exam day.
- Candidates must carry the printout of the KLEE admit card and a valid if proof to the exam hall.
- Candidates must report to the exam venue at the reporting time mentioned on the KLEE admit card.
- Upon reporting at the exam venue, candidates would be provided with an access card which contains details about the examination hall, a seat, user name and password.
- Candidates are not allowed to carry any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, smartwatches and so on to the exam hall.
- Candidates will be provided with a sheet of paper for rough work which must be returned after completion of the exam.
- No candidate will be allowed to leave the exam hall before completion of the KLEE entrance exam.
KLEE 2025 Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on KLEE 2025 scores for the KLEE counselling process. The seat allotment will be done in multiple rounds based on preference given by candidates. At present there are 1110 seats available for three-year LLB, 3120 seats for five-year LLB, and 155 seats for LLM.

The exam conducting authority releases the KLEE eligibility criteria 2024 for the LLM program containing the list of conditions one needs to fulfil for admission. Any candidate who doesn't meet the KLEE 2024 eligibility criteria, will not be considered for admission.

The exam authorities will notify a separate KLEE 2025 application window for 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM programme. The authorities will also open correction window to edit the application form of KLEE 2025.
How to fill the KLEE 2025 application form?
Filling up the KLEE 2025 application form is a five-stage process.
Step 1: Registration
Registration is the first stage and is a one-time process
Visit official website - cee.kerala.gov.in and select your law programme - 3-year LLB/5-year LLB/LLM
Click on the new registration link
The registration form will open
Enter basic details such as name, mobile number and email id.
Upon successful registration, an "application number’ will be created with an applicant account.
Step 2: Fill out the KLEE application form 2025
Once registered, proceed to fill out the application form of KLEE 2025.
The application form will ask for personal, contact, and educational qualification details which have to be duly filled.
Fill out the information and click on “save and finalse”.
Step 3: Fee payment
Paying the application fee is the third step in the KLEE application process. Candidates can pay the application fee through online payment or e-challan.

Online payment
Through this mode, one can pay the fee using a credit/ debit card or net banking.
E-challan
If the candidate wishes, they can also make the payment in offline mode using e-challan.
To make the payment using an e-challan, first take a printout of the e-challan by clicking on the ‘print e-challan’ option.
With the printed challan, go to a post office in Kerala and make the payment in cash. During payment, you have to submit the e-challan with the requisite along with the fee amount in cash.
Don't forget to collect the counterfoil of e-challan from the post office official.
Once the payment is successfully done, ‘Pay Application Tab’ will turn green.
If the payment tab doesn't turn green even after payment, candidates must inform the post office officials.
Step 4: Uploading of photograph and signature
Candidates are required to upload their photographs and signature along with the required documents which is the fourth step in the KLEE application process.

KLEE Answer key – Filing Objections
For any objection with the answer key of KLEE 2025, one can submit their complaints to CEE with requisite proof and payment of Rs. 100 per question (in case of KLEE L.L.M, Rs. 200 per question) payable by DD at Thiruvananthapuram in favour of CEE.
The objections have to be filed before the last date.
Authorities will release the final answer key after considering all the complaints.
CEE Kerala will declare the KLEE 2025 results tenatively two weeks after the exam. Candidates can download the KLEE results 2025 from the official website using their login ID. The result of KLEE 2025 will be declared as per the final answer key after considering all the valid objections.

KLEE 2025 Rank List
The course wise rank list is prepared based on scores obtained by candidates in KLEE 2025. Candidates who make it to the KLEE shortlist will be called to participate in the counselling and admission process. The seat allotment will be done based on the rank of the candidate and the college preferences given by them.
KLEE 2025 Tiebreaker
In case of a tie in marks scored by the candidates in LLB, the candidate who has scored higher in 'Aptitude for Legal Studies' will get preference. If the tie still remains unbroken, the candidate scoring higher in 'English' will get a higher rank. If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age will get a higher rank.
In case of KLEE LLM, the candidate who has secured higher marks in Part A of the exam will be assigned a higher rank. if the tie persists, then the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
L.L.B 5 year
CEE Kerala will release the KLEE 2025 cutoffs at the time of seat allotment. The KLEE cut-off for 5-year LLB will be the last rank or minimum marks required for admission to a given law college.

CEE Kerala will release the KLEE 2025 cutoffs at the time of seat allotment. The KLEE cut off for 3-year LLB will be the last rank or minimum marks required for admission to a given law college.

CEE Kerala will conduct the centralised KLEE 2025 counselling process online for shortlisted candidates. Candidates will be required to first complete web option filling to provide college choices for KLEE counselling 2025. CEE Kerala will publish the KLEE 2025 allotment list for each round of counselling based on the candidate's preferences and scores in the exam.
The qualifying marks to be eligible for KLEE 2025 counselling is 10% for general and OBC candidates, and 5% for SC/ST candidates for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. There are no minimum qualifying marks mentioned for KLEE LLM.

Submit the preferences.

Yes, You can do law. The eligibility Criteria for joining 3 year law course:
Students must finish a bachelor's degree curriculum in any field, such as a BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, or BCA, in order to be admitted to three-year LLB programmes.
Minimum grades can differ per college; some ask for 50%, while others only accept 45%. Additionally, there is a minimal mark relaxation for applicants from reserved categories at public law institutions.
It is possible for candidates to apply for a degree in law while they are taking their final year or semester test for an undergraduate degree, provided they fulfil the additional eligibility conditions set out by the college to which they want to be admitted.
