The merit list is prepared based on the candidates' performance in AmLAT 2026 or their scores in CLAT 2026/AILET 2026. The merit list ranks candidates as per the total marks secured by the candidate in the AmLAT entrance exam. The merit list is released online on the Amrita School of Law’s portal. Candidates who appear in the merit list are called for the counselling process in order of their merit rank, ensuring that seats are allotted according to merit.
Counselling is the next crucial step after the merit list is released. Eligible candidates are invited to participate in the counselling session through email and the admissions website. Counselling can be conducted online or at designated centres as per university guidelines. During counselling, candidates select their preferred law courses (5-year integrated BA LLB or BBA LLB). Candidates also must submit original academic documents for verification. Seats are allotted based on candidate merit, counselling choices, and seat availability. Candidates confirm their admission by paying the academic fees. Missing counselling or fee payment deadlines can result in losing the seat allotment opportunity.

Selected candidates must complete all admission formalities before the start date, including payment of fees and submission of documents.
