    About AP PGLCET 2026

    Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has commenced the AP PGLCET 2026 registrations on February 12, 2026. Candidates can visit the official website: lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET to apply for the exam before the deadline. The last date to register without paying the late fee is March 12, 2026. The AP PGLCET 2026 application form can be corrected till March 30, 2026. The AP PGLCET 2026 will be conducted in online mode on May 4, 2026. Applicants can download the AP PGLCET 2026 admit cards on April 20, 2026. 

    Through AP PGLCET 2026, candidates will be admitted into a two-year LLM course at various participating colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are required to submit their applications online and complete the registration process. The exam will be held in various exam centres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A total of 13 law colleges and universities will participate in the common admission process through AP PGLCET 2026.  

    The AP PGLCET 2026 question paper has 120 multiple-choice questions and each question will carry one mark. As per the AP PGLCET exam pattern 2026, there is no negative marking. Candidates who secure more than the prescribed minimum qualifying marks can participate in the AP PGLCET 2026 counselling process. AP PGLCET 2026 seat allotment is done as per the ranks and college preferences of the candidates.

    AP PGLCET 2026 Test Details

    The PGLCET tests the candidate's knowledge in different areas of law. It covers topics such as constitutional law, jurisprudence, family law, torts and more. The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions that candidates have to attempt in a duration of 90 minutes.     APSCHE starts the AP PGLCET counselling shortly after declaring the results. Candidates can register by visiting the official website: lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET. However, candidates can complete the AP PGLCET 2026 web option entry during the phase counselling. The AP PGLCET 2026 web option editing window usually opens for a single day. Shortlisted candidates in the AP PGLCET counselling process will have to report to the allotted college by the specified deadline.     Candidates aspiring to appear for the AP PGLCET 2026 must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by APSCHE. The AP PGLCET 2026 eligibility criteria specify requirements pertaining to academic qualifications, minimum passing marks, age limit and resident status.     As described in the above table, the minimum educational qualification required is either a 5-year LLB or a 3-year LLB. Candidates appearing for their final year exams are also eligible to apply.

    Candidates aspiring to apply under the category of local candidates must ensure they meet the conditions laid down in this regard. Telangana candidates who migrated from Telangana to Andhra Pradesh within 5 years starting from June 2, 2014, will be considered as local candidates.

    Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. However, foreign candidates can also apply, provided that they conform to the admissions rules and guidelines of individual universities.

    Fee Payment

    • Visit the official website 
    • Click on the new registration link 
    • Enter your name, date of birth, contact number, and programme of study to complete the initial registration
    • Finally, the candidate has to pay the application fee using one of the online modes: net banking, credit, and debit card.
    • There is also a provision to make a cash payment by reporting at AP ONLINE centres.
    • If the payment is successful, a payment ID will be generated, which must be retained for future admission events.

    Filling of AP PGLCET 2026 Application Form

    The application form can be filled out only after payment of the application fee.

    •  The AP PGLCET 2026 application form will have various fields like personal, academic and contact details.
    • The form will also have a section where the candidates must enter their places of study in the last seven years, based on which the local area of the candidate will be determined.
    • Next, the programme of study is to be selected, i.e. LLM. 
    • Candidates must also specify the desired test centre. A maximum of two test centres in order of priority can be selected.    
    • Applicants must also upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as per the specifications prescribed.

                                            AP PGLCET Answer Key – Filling of objections

                                            If a candidate is not convinced by any answer given in the AP PGLCET answer key, there is a provision to challenge it. The admission officials will then go through all such objections before releasing the final AP PGLCET answer key. The AP PGLCET 20269 final answer key cannot be challenged any further and the answers given in it will be considered to be officially correct. The authorities will also open an objection-raising window against the AP PGLCET 2026. Candidates can submit their objections within the prescribed deadline.

                                            The AP PGLCET 2026 result will be declared in online mode on May 18, 2026. AP PGLCET result 2026 contains details such as the section-wise and overall marks and the qualifying status of the candidate. Candidates are required to score at least 25% to qualify for ranking and participate in the counselling process. However, this condition is only applicable to general and OBC candidates. Candidates from the SC and ST categories do not have to fulfil this requirement.

                                            2. If the tie persists, the candidates may be bracketed together and the seniority in age will be considered for admission.
