Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has opened the SLAT 2026 application form on August 1, 2025. Interested candidates should carefully follow the instructions to submit the SLAT application form. Eligible candidates registering for SLAT 2026 should review the documents required for SLAT 2026 registration before applying for the exam to avoid last-minute hassle. Candidates should ensure that the certificates they uploaded while filling out the application form are clear, valid, and up to date. Only successfully registered candidates will be able to appear for SLAT 2026, to be conducted in two phases on December 20, 2025 (test 1) and December 28, 2025 (test 2). Through SLAT 2026, candidates will get admission to BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes of the four participating Symbiosis Law Schools. SLAT 2026 scores will be accepted by four Symbiosis Law Colleges, which are SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur.
Candidates who are preparing to register for SLAT 2026 must keep the following documents ready before applying for the exam:
Latest scanned copy of colour passport-size photo (.jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif format, file size < 500 kb). Your photograph should not be more than 06 months old
Valid Email ID and mobile number
SSC marksheet
HSC marksheet (if available)
ID card
A scanned copy of the signature (Black/blue ink on white paper – JPEG format)
Candidates are advised to keep the other or optional documents ready during the later stages of the SLAT admission process to avoid any last-minute rush:
Valid ID Proof (required during admit card verification and PI round)
Category certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwD required during PI & Admission process (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if applying under state quota)
NRI/ OCI/ PIO Proof (Passport/OCI Card/PIO Certificate) for NRI/International applicants
BPL certificate (for BPL category applicants)
Valid Photo ID proof, such as Aadhaar/ PAN/ passport/ driving license (required during admit card verification and PI round)
Proof of Date of Birth to verify age (if needed)
Note: It must be noted that these documents are not required during SLAT 2026 registration, but will be strictly verified during PI and final admissions.
Below are certain requirements that candidates must follow for a smooth and easy submission of their SLAT 2026 documents:
Photo uploaded in JPEG, JPG format under 500 KB
Signature scanned in JPEG format on black/ blue ink on white paper
Email & mobile verified via OTP
Class 10/ 12 details entered accurately
Preferred SLS programmes selected and Rs. 1000 for each programme in each SLS to which they wish to apply
Confirmation page downloaded after payment
Here is the comprehensive list of common mistakes that candidates should avoid while uploading the documents for SLAT 2026 registration.
Uploading a selfie instead of a passport-style photo
Using blurred photographs from an old ID
Uploading the wrong file format (PDF, PNG)
Using an incorrect file size other than the prescribed one
Providing or entering wrong academic data
Using invalid and inactive email or mobile numbers

Candidates must follow the step-by-step instructions to upload documents for a hassle-free SLAT 2026 registration.
Go to the official website of SLAT - slat-test.org
Click on the SLAT registration link, and the registration window opens.
Read the SLAT 2026 terms and conditions and click on the 'Continue' button to accept the terms and conditions.
Enter the required details such as personal information, educational qualification, communication details and other relevant information, including a valid mobile number and email ID.
An OTP will be sent to the entered mobile number and email.
Enter the OTP and click on the submit button. The SLAT ID will be sent to the candidate's email ID.
Upload the latest scanned copy of a colour photograph that is not more than six months old.
Then, upload the scanned signature under the signature section.
Select your test stream, and candidates must ensure that “SLAT” is ticked under SET exam options.
The candidates have to provide the course and institute choice in the SLAT application form. Candidates can choose one law school or programme, and Rs. 1000 is charged per programme per institute at this stage.
Pay the SLAT 2026 registration fee of Rs. 2250 per test (government taxes would be additional as and when applicable). Candidates are also expected to pay the non-refundable and non-transferable programme registration fee of Rs. 1000 for each programme that they wish to apply for.
After the application fee payment, download the confirmation page and keep a copy of the filled-in application form of SLAT 2026 for future reference.
