Hello Sanjay,
With a rank of 9825, it may be challenging to get admission into top National Law Universities (NLUs) through common entrance exams like CLAT, as the cutoff ranks for most NLUs are usually much higher (lower rank numbers).
However, some NLUs or private law colleges may have higher cutoff ranks or reserve seats under different categories or quotas. It’s important to:
Check the specific cutoff trends of each NLU for the year.
Consider other law colleges besides NLUs.
Explore reserved category benefits if applicable.
Participate in all counseling rounds to increase chances.
If you belong to any reserved category, your chances improve. Otherwise, you may also consider private universities offering law courses.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
Hello there,
With an All India Rank (AIR) of 3924 and EWS category rank 306 in CLAT, here’s what you can generally expect:
You have a
good chance of admission
in some of the
newer or less competitive NLUs
.
Admission in
top NLUs
like NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, NUJS Kolkata, WBNUJS Kolkata, or NLU Delhi may be difficult, as their closing ranks are usually within the top 1000 or so.
You can expect better chances at NLUs like:
NLIU Bhopal
NLU Jodhpur
HNLU Raipur
GNLU Gandhinagar
RMLNLU Lucknow
CNLU Patna
These NLUs often have closing ranks ranging from around 2000 to 5000 for EWS category, so your rank fits well within this range.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
hello there,
With an OBC Discuss of 5941 in CLAT, affirmation to top-tier NLUs is very impossible, particularly for profoundly requested courses like BA LLB. Be that as it may, you'll still have a chance in lower-ranked NLUs depending on category cut-offs, residence standard, and the number of seats accessible in later rounds.
You'll keep an eye on:
It's vital to take an interest in all counselling rounds and see out for spot confirmations as well. You'll be able too consider private law colleges tolerating CLAT scores as a reinforcement.
Hello Aspirant,
Your opportunity of getting into top NLUs such as NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata, with an All India OBC Rank of 1219, is very low since these typically close at much lower OBC ranks (usually within the top 200–500 depending on the year). Nevertheless, since you belong to Karnataka, you could be eligible for the Karnataka domicile reservation at NLSIU Bangalore. NLSIU has 25% reservation for Karnataka students, and that too with a sub-reservation for OBC candidates.
Although 1219 is a bit above, you might have a marginal chance in subsequent rounds or through spot counselling, based on how the cutoffs change. Monitor official CLAT counselling rounds and NLSIU's admission announcements for the best information.
