The online application window for TS PGLCET 2026 officially opened on February 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (TS PGLCET) 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 18, 2026. The TS PGLCET exam is for admission to LLM programmes in state universities and law colleges across Telangana. The entrance test will be held online (Computer-Based Test) mode from 04:00 PM to 05:30 PM. TS PGLCET is accepted by over 30 law colleges and universities in Telangana. These law colleges offer around 750 seats in the LLM programme.
The TS PGLCET 2026 is an online-based entrance examination with a duration of 90 minutes. The question paper consists of 120 objective-type questions, where each correct response carries one mark. There is no negative marking. The test is designed to evaluate the candidate's legal knowledge across various core subjects. The topics in the syllabus for TS PGLCET include subjects of law, such as Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Public International Law, Mercantile Law, Crimes and Torts, IPR and Labour Laws.

The TS PGLCET exam instructions are issued to the candidates through the TS PGLCET admit card. Given below are some of the important exam day guidelines that must be followed by the aspirants on the TS PGLCET exam date 2026:
Candidates must arrive at the specified exam centre at the reporting time which is usually 30 minutes before the start of the exam.
Candidates should not carry any forbidden items into the exam hall such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators etc.
Candidates are required to carry a printout of the TS PGLCET 2026 admit card to the exam hall which is a mandatory document for the exam.
Candidates must also carry a valid identity proof to the exam hall, such as an Aadhar card, voter ID, passport, or driving licence

TS PGLCET Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (session 2026)
The TS PGLCET 2026 counselling registration will start after the TS PGLCET 2026 result is declared at lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in. Candidates who have obtained more than the qualifying marks in the TS PGLCET 2026 exam will be eligible to appear in the counselling. The TS PGLCET counselling is the last stage of the admission process, during which around 30 law colleges will come together to offer approximately 750 seats. Candidates must upload the prescribed documents in the specified size for verification and pay the counselling registration fee. The TS PGLCET web options 2026 can be exercised on the specified date. The authorities will publish the TS PGLCET 2026 provisional merit list based on the rank of the candidate.

Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) prescribes the eligibility criteria of TS PGLCET 2026 for admission to the LLM programme offered by participating colleges. The eligibility requirements would pertain to minimum qualifications, age limit, domicile, and other such requirements that the candidate has to fulfil for admission.

As listed in the above table, candidates must have cleared a 3-year LLB or a 5-year LLB to be eligible for LLM. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided that they submit their qualifying certificates at the time of admission. There is no age limit. Candidates also need to satisfy domicile requirements if they are applying under the local candidate category.
General and OBC candidates are required to score at least 25% in the TS PGLCET 2026 entrance exam to be considered for ranking. However, there is no such stipulation for SC and ST candidates.
In case of a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part A of the exam will be considered for deciding the rank. If the tie persists, candidates may be bracketed together for ranking, and senior candidates (by age) may be given first preference.
The TS PGLCET 2026 application process is expected to commence in the first week of March 2026. Managed by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), the registration is conducted online. Candidates can register at the official TS PGLCET portal, lawcet.tgche.ac.in. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for the LLM programme before proceeding with the registration. As part of the application process, the candidate needs to first get registered and pay the application fee, after which the application form can be filled out. The TS PGLCET application form 2026 fee is Rs 1,100 for general/OBC category candidates and Rs 900 for SC/ST candidates.

TSCHE provides the TS PGLCET mock test for candidates preparing for the examination. The mock test of TS PGLCET 2026 will help candidates understand the online testing system and the type of questions asked in the examination. The TS PGLCET 2026 admit card will be released on May 12, 2026. The TS PGLCET admit card 2026 will be released in online mode. The admit card will be available for download at the TSCHE portal. The TS PGLCET 2026 hall ticket mentions information like the date and time of the TS PGLCET exam, roll number, and details of the allotted exam centre. Candidates are required to carry the TS PGLCET admit card with them to the exam centres.
The TS PGLCET 2026 final answer key is expected to be released in June 2026 in online mode. The final key is published by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) after a thorough review of all objections raised by candidates against the TS PGLCET 2026 provisional answer key (May 23, 2026). The TS PGLCET answer key 2026 will contain official answers to all the questions asked in the examination. Therefore, by comparing their answers with those given in the answer key, one will be able to calculate estimated scores and thus chances of admission.
The TS PGLCET 2026 results are tentatively scheduled to be declared on June 5, 2026, approximately two weeks after the TS PGLCET exam (May 18, 2026). The results will be released online in the form of individual rank cards. The TS PGLCET scorecard contains details like the qualifying status of the candidate, along with the sectional and total scores and rank. Based on entrance exam scores, TS PGLCET merit lists will also be prepared, which will be used to shortlist candidates for counselling and the seat allotment process.
