    BCI officially informed the Supreme Court of India that the AIBE exam will be conducted twice a year. The AIBE 22 exam will be conducted on November 29, 2026. BCI will start the AIBE 22 registrations from August 19, 2026. The detailed notification includes the AIBE 22 registration date, deadline, correction window, exam date, and more details. Candidates aiming to appear for the AIBE 22 exam must complete the online application form and submit the required fees and documents before October 27, 2026. The AIBE exam, being conducted twice a year, will allow law graduates more opportunities to qualify the exam. Earlier, the AIBE 21 was conducted on June 7, 2026.

    AIBE 22 Registration Date

    BCI has specified the AIBE 22 registration date in the official notification. The AIBE exam registration starts from August 19, 2026. BCI will open the registration window till October 27, 2026. Candidates are advised to apply for the AIBE 22 exam on time and provide valid and accurate documents.

    AIBE 22 Application Process

    Candidates must check the AIBE eligibility before applying for the exam. Eligible candidates can visit the official website of BCI and fill out the application form. Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to fill out the AIBE application form.

    • Visit the official website of AIBE: allindiabarexamination.com.

    • Click on the AIBE 22 registration link

    • Create a new account by providing a name, email ID, and mobile number

    • Log in with the generated credentials

    • Fill out the AIBE 22 application form with personal, academic, and enrolment details

    • Upload scanned copies of the required documents, such as a photo, signature, and enrolment certificate

    • Choose a preferred AIBE exam centre and exam language

    • Pay the AIBE 22 application fee online using net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI

    • Review all the details carefully and submit the application form

    • Submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future use.

    AIBE 22 Registration Documents

    BCI specifies the required documents to complete the AIBE 22 registration. While filling out the application form, candidates must carefully upload the scanned copies of the following documents.

    • Passport-sized photograph, 10-50 kb, JPG/JPEG format

    • Scanned signature, 10-50 kb, JPG/JPEG format

    • LLB graduation certificate

    • LLB mark sheets

    • LLM certificate and mark sheet (In case of additional qualification)

    • Advocate ID card (If issued by the State Bar Council)

    • State Bar Council Enrollment Certificate

    • Valid Photo ID

    • Category Certificate (if applicable)

    • Disability Certificate (if applicable)

    Q: Who is eligible for AIBE 22 exam?
    A:

    Candidates who have completed 3-year LLB or five-year LLB from a BCI recognised institute are eligible to apply. Final-year law students are also eligible to apply. There are no minimum marks required, age limit or enrollment certificate required to apply. 

    Q: Can a lawyer practice without AIBE?
    A:

    No, to practice law in India candidates require the Certificate of Practice (CoP) which can only be obtained by passing the AIBE exam. 

    Q: Can I apply for AIBE 22 exam without enrollment certificate?
    A:

    Candidates who have obtained their LLB degree from a BCI recognised university but have not enrolled with any State Bar Council are eligible to apply for AIBE exam.
