The Delhi High Court has reserved the verdict in CLAT PG after conducting the hearings on May 27, 2025. The CLAT PG hearing was conducted in respect of three petitions by a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela. The vacation for the Delhi HC begins from June 1 to June 30. There is uncertainty about whether and when the Consortium will publish the revised CLAT PG result and restart the CLAT PG counselling process. The CLAT UG revised result has already been declared on May 17 after the SC judgement. The CLAT counselling 2025 is underway for the 5-year LLB admissions at participating NLUs.

Three CLAT PG Petitions

The petitions in the CLAT PG exam pertain to mistakes in the CLAT PG answer key and the high cost of raising objections against the provisional answer key. Candidate Nitika has challenged one question. While candidates Ayush Agrawal and Anam Khan have challenged three questions, and also the high objection fee.

Latest Update in CLAT PG 2025 Case

As per the latest available information on the CLAT PG cases, the HC has reserved judgment in the matter. The court order dated May 27, 2025, has been uploaded on the Delhi HC’s official website - delhihighcourt.nic.in, which shows the judgment is now reserved.

The Delhi HC breaks for summer vacation for the entire month of June. It remains to be seen whether candidates will have to wait till July for the court to reopen and issue the CLAT PG judgement. Only after the cases are resolved will the Consortium of NLUs go ahead with the CLAT PG counselling.

For CLAT PG 2026, if you aim for top NLUs like NALSAR, NLSIU and WBNUJS, a score of around 75+ marks (rank within 100 ) is generally good for the general category

Cut-offs change every year, so try to score as high as possible for a better chance.

It is good to see institutions like NMIMS have selected you for master of law based on your CLAT PG scores. If we compare the three then to be very clear:

  • NMIMS Mumbai has strong reputation for it's Kirti Mehra School of Law and has got good academic value.
  • Nirma University is also another good after NMIMS, and has strong reputation for law studies in Gujarat.
  • The DNLU is comparatively newer than the other two and it will take some time to be equivalent to them.

For the best academic value and recognition choose NMIMS, or the Nirma University is also good. The DNLU is newer and can be considered as well but if we choose any one, then it is NMIMS.
