Hello,

For eligibility to appear in the Rajasthan Judicial Service (RJS) exam, the primary criteria generally include:

1) Educational Qualification: A degree in law (LLB) from a recognized university in India.

2) Bar Council Enrollment: Enrollment as an advocate with the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Given your background:

1) LLB from University of Cambridge: The University of Cambridge is a prestigious institution, but the degree must be recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Since you have done a 3-year LLB after 10+2, ensure that this degree is validated by the BCI for equivalence.

2) Two-Year Bridge Course from IIULER: This bridge course is to align your education with the Indian system (10+2+5 pattern). The crucial point is whether IIULER is recognized and whether the Bar Council of India accepts this bridge course as fulfilling the criteria.

3) AIBE Exam and Enrollment with BCI: Passing the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) and enrollment with a state Bar Council is a strong indication of your eligibility to practice law in India, which is often a prerequisite for judicial service exams.

Conclusion: If your foreign degree, combined with the bridge course, is recognized by the Bar Council of India, and you are enrolled as an advocate with a state Bar Council after passing the AIBE, you should be eligible for the RJS exam.

hope this helps,

Thank you

Yes, you can definitely prepare for the AIBE (All India Bar Examination) even if you have a PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) background in your Class 12. There are no specific subject requirements for appearing in the AIBE. The exam assesses your knowledge of legal principles and your aptitude for the legal profession.

Having a background in Law (through a Bachelor of Laws - LLB degree) is generally considered advantageous for the AIBE. These students would have a strong foundation in legal concepts.

I hope it helps!
