ONGC Recruitment through CLAT 2025 – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) will start the online registration process for the post of Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) tentatively in September 2025. To be eligible for the role of Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) at ONGC, candidates must qualify the CLAT 2025 exam. Every year, ONGC usually doesn't recruit for the post of Assistant Legal Adviser through CLAT. Candidates who have appeared in CLAT PG 2025 are eligible to apply for selection. Applicants who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria need to duly fill out the ONGC recruitment through CLAT 2025 application form and submit it before the last date.
It must be noted that the eligibility criteria for selection include 3-year or 5-year LLB degree and Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2025) scores. ONGC will use the scores of CLAT 2025 to determine category-wise cut-off to shortlist candidates for the interview process. Further, a final merit list will be prepared based on the cumulative marks of the CLAT 2025 score and Interview, which will be used for job allotment. After ascertaining the eligibility criteria, the candidate may proceed to fill out the application form. The ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser eligibility criteria 2025 include criteria like qualifying exam passed, minimum marks, and other such details. For any candidate who doesn't meet the ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser eligibility criteria, their candidature will not be considered at any stage of the ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser 2025 recruitment process.
Note – Such candidates who have passed the LLB degree through Distance/Open/Part-time programmes or through any Correspondence are not eligible for ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser Recruitment 2025.
Applicants who have worked as advocates for a minimum of three years will be given preference during the recruitment process.

Candidates applying for ONGC Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) Recruitment through CLAT need to have a valid email ID, a working mobile number and an authentic CLAT 2025 application number.
All the candidates need to apply through the proper channels and in online mode.
However, the fees of the requisite amount need to be paid only offline using SBI Bank Challan.

The candidates filling out the application form of ONGC Recruitment for Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) will have to appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for LLM programme.

The ONGC offers relaxation to the reserved category candidates in accordance with the Government Rules and Regulations.
The candidates claiming relaxation under the reserved categories need to provide their applicable certificates at the time of document verification.
The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying any application fee for ONGC Recruitment Assistant Legal Adviser (E1 Level) 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The ONGC recruitment through CLAT 2025 will be announced tentatively in September. Every year, ONGC doesn't release the application form to recruit for the post of Assistant Legal Adviser through CLAT.

For CLAT PG 2026, if you aim for top NLUs like NALSAR, NLSIU and WBNUJS, a score of around 75+ marks (rank within 100 ) is generally good for the general category
Cut-offs change every year, so try to score as high as possible for a better chance.

For the best academic value and recognition choose NMIMS, or the Nirma University is also good. The DNLU is newer and can be considered as well but if we choose any one, then it is NMIMS.
