    After much delay, the Bar Council of India (BCI) released the AIBE XIX (19) application form on September 03, 2024. The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a mandatory exam for LLB graduates looking to practice law in India. The 19th AIBE exam will be held on November 24, 2024, in offline mode, as per the notification released by the council.

    The official website for AIBE XIX (19) 2024 registration is allindiabarexamination.com. The AIBE registration fee is 3,560 for general and OBC candidates and Rs. 2,560 for SC and ST candidates. The detailed schedule is given below.

    About AIBE Exam 2024

    The offline-based AIBE exam is conducted in around 50 exam centres across the country. The AIBE exam is held in 11 different languages, the list of which is given below.

    • Hindi

    • Telugu

    • Tamil

    • Kannada

    • Marathi

    • Bengali

    • Gujarati

    • Oriya

    • English

    • Assamese

    • Punjabi

    Candidates are asked 100 questions on various subjects of law including legal current affairs. The duration of AIBE is three hours. There is no negative marking. The minimum qualifying marks in the AIBE exam are 45% for general category candidates and 40% for SC and ST candidates.

    Earlier, AIBE was an open-book exam. However, recently, the Bar Council of India removed the open book system. Now, candidates are not allowed to use books and notes in the AIBE exam, However, they can still use the bare acts without notes.
