KSLU Admission 2020 - Karnataka State Law University has started the KSLU admission 2020 process on July 17. There will be no entrance exam as the admissions through KSLU are now being offered strictly on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam. Candidates who are looking for admissions to 5-year LLB, 3-year LLB and LLM programmes in the law colleges of Karnataka may apply by filling and submitting KSLU application form 2020. The last date to submit application form is September 10, while the KSLU eligibility certificate will be available till September 28. However, with a late fee of Rs 1000, the admission application of KSLU 2020 can be submitted till September 30. The shortlisting of candidates will be done on the basis of merit list. The university has prescribed the eligibility criteria for appearing in KUSLU 2020. Only those candidates who fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria will be able to apply through the KSLU 2020 admission application form.
KSLU Eligibility criteria
Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university
Candidate must have completed senior secondary from a recognized board
Age limit - Regarding maximum age limit, the university will follow the rules prescribed by the Bar Council of India and judgement passed by the honourable Supreme Court.
As per the official KSLU website, the age limits for undergraduate law courses are as given below.
- For 5-year LLB, the maximum age limit is 20 years for general category candidates. For candidates belonging to SC or ST category, the maximum age limit is 22 years.
- For 3-year LLB, the maximum age for admission is 30 years, for SC or ST category candidates, the age limit is 35 years.
However, as per the Supreme Court order, the maximum age limit for admissions to LLB courses has been removed.
KSLU Eligibility certificate 2020
The conducting body will release the KSLU 2020 eligibility certificate in both online and offline modes. The eligibility certificates will be issued by KSLU Academic Section at Hubbali for all such candidates who have completed qualifying exam from outside Karnataka. It should be noted that candidates belonging to the states other than Karnataka must obtain the eligibility certificate of KSLU 2020, before applying for admission. While applying for eligibility certificates, candidates will also have to pay the requisite fee of around Rs. 2000.
Candidates who obtained qualifying certificates from CBSE Board, New Delhi are exempted from eligibility certificate for admission to 5-year integrated law programme.
The application form of KSLU along with eligibility certificate is currently available. All the eligible candidates will have to download KSLU application form 2020 and eligibility certificate and take the printout.
Applicants will have to submit duly filled application form of KSLU 2020 along with prescribed documents at the university. Candidates will be required to fill their personal details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, category etc along with educational details and law college name in KSLU application form. It should be noted that incompletely filled application form will be subject to rejection.

While submitting the application admission form of KSLU 2020, candidates must attach attested copies of the following documents along with the application form.
Date of birth certificate (SSLC/HSLC certificates)
Degree qualification examination marks card.
Caste and Income certificate.
Eligibility certificate, if needed.

Study permission letter from employer, if applicable.
Disability certificate in case of candidates belonging to PH.
Kannada medium study certificate (1-10th) if reservation is claimed under Gadinadu/HoranaduKannadiga quota.

KSLU Merit List 2020
Karnataka State Law University will prepare the merit list of KSLU 2020 based on marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying exam. The KSLU merit list 2020 will be category-specific and determined separately for the various law courses. Candidates included in the merit list would be called for counselling and seat allotment. It must, however, be noted that simple inclusion in the merit list doesn’t guarantee the candidate a seat, as there are other formalities to be completed like document verification.
KSLU Cutoff 2020
Admission authorities will determine the KSLU cutoff for all participating colleges. The KSLU cut-off will be the last rank which will be considered for KSLU admission. Candidates coming under the cut-off list will get the admission in the college for which they are applying. KSLU cutoff 2020 would depend on a host of factors like number of applications received for admission, seat intake, and performance of candidates in the qualifying exam. If any of these parameters change, the KSLU cut off would also automatically change.
KSLU Counselling 2020
The authorities will conduct KSLU 2020 counselling in offline mode. Candidates whose name featured in KSLU merit list will be issued the call letters for appearing in the counselling. KSLU 2020 counselling will include the steps mentioned below.
Registration for counselling - Candidates shortlisted through KSLU merit list will have to report for counselling and register their name at the venue.
Document verification - The counselling process generally includes document verification. Candidates will have to carry their original and photocopy of all the documents as prescribed by the authorities.
The allotment of seats will be as per the merit of the candidate which higher ranked candidates to be given preference during the KSLU 2020 seat allotment process.
