Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (GNDU Amritsar) will release the GNDU 3-year LLB application form tentatively in the second week of May 2026. For 5-year LLB registration, candidates can expect the application form in the first week of May 2026. GNDU Amritsar offers law admission without entrance exams. The university will conduct Punjab law admissions 2026 for LLB (3 Years) and B.A.LLB (5 Years) through State Level Counselling. Candidates will be admitted into the 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes of the university and its affiliated colleges. The university will hold a centralised counselling for Guru Nanak Dev University LLB admission 2026. There will be three rounds of counselling for Punjab Law admissions 2026. Guru Nanak Dev University will also publish the merit list and cutoff for each round of Punjab law admissions 2026 counselling for each round of counselling. In total, 36 colleges are part of the Punjab law admission process and provide admissions to law aspirants through GNDU Law counselling. In GNDU Punjab Law admission 2026, 85% of the seats are reserved for candidates from the state of Punjab, while 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates from other states.

All the participating colleges in Punjab Law Admission 2026 have different criteria for BA LLB, and three-year LLB courses. Candidates must have passed 10+2 to be eligible for admission into the 5-year LLB. The minimum educational qualification for a 3-year LLB is a graduation in any stream. Candidates interested in law admission in Punjab will be required to fill in the Punjab law admission application form for GNDU from the official website. The university will open the GNDU 5-year LLB application form in the first week of May 2026. It will open the GNDU 3-year LLB application form in the second week of May 2026 in online mode on its official website. The authorities will not accept any forms through post or physical mode. Candidates can participate in the counselling process only if they have filled out their application form.

Sign Up: Click on the ‘new registration’ link on the official website and enter basic details like Name, Father Name, Course, Mobile Number, E-Mail ID, etc. and Security Key. Click on the submit button and note down your Deposit ID and password for login.
Deposit Registration Fee: Click on the ‘Candidate Login’ link and enter your deposit ID and password to log in. Next, click on ‘Student Area’ where candidates can find the basic details they entered and important links like payment. Click on "Deposit Registration Fee" and make a payment using your preferred option.
Upload Photo and Signature: After payment of the registration fee, candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature.
Reservation of seats in Punjab Law admission 2026 will be as per the policy of the Punjab Government applicable at the time of admission. A total of 85% of seats in all colleges will be reserved for candidates of the state of Punjab. Candidates from other states will be eligible for the remaining 15% seats. Candidates claiming a reservation must present the relevant documents at the time of document verification.

GNDU conducts the Punjab Law admission counselling process in online mode. Candidates can participate in the counselling process of Punjab Law GNDU admission through their candidate login. Applicants are required to enter their deposit ID and password to start the choice-filling process. In the Punjab law admission choice filling process, candidates are required to fill in their college and program choices. Students are given admission based on the Punjab Law Admission 2026 merit list.
There will be a total of three rounds of Punjab law admission counselling 2026. During the counselling process, candidates also have the option to shift their seats. Candidates who have already been allotted to their first choice institute and course are not required to participate in the further rounds of Punjab law counselling. However, such candidates who still want to participate in the counselling process will be required to pay a shifting fee of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST candidates) to participate in the next rounds of counselling.
The GNDU Law cutoff 2026 will be released separately for three-year and five-year law courses after each round of counselling. Guru Nanak Dev University publishes the cut-off and seat allotment together after each round of counselling for both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes. Candidates who have scored more than the required cut-off allotted by GNDU are eligible for admission.
