DU 5-year LLB admission 2025: Spot round begins to fill vacant seats

Delhi University (DU) has announced a spot round of admission to fill the vacant seats in BA LLB and BBA LLB courses. The application window is open from August 12 to August 17, 4:59 pm. The DU LLB allotment results for the spot round will be announced on August 19, as per the schedule. In case of any vacant seats after this round, similar spot rounds will be conducted, the admission notification said.

Earlier, the university released seat allotment lists in three rounds. The general category DU BA LLB cut-offs have been very competitive, outperforming several NLUs. The CLAT cutoff marks required for DU BA LLB and BBA LLB were 86.75 and 85.65, respectively. This translates into CLAT ranks between 1200-1400.

The BA LLB allotments were not announced for OBS, ST, EWS and PwBD categories in the third round. Which means the seats were filled in these categories. However, in the event of any student opting out of the admission process, vacancies may be announced in the spot round.

BBA LLB admissions at Delhi University have been relatively less competitive. The cutoffs in all categories are less than the BA LLB cut-offs.

As per the spot round schedule, the university will allow the shortlisted candidates to accept/reject the allocation from August 19 to August 21. The DU law centres will verify and approve the admissions till August 22. The course fee can be paid online by August 23. The complete schedule is given below.

Meanwhile, several CLAT 2025 NLUs are still conducting the spot round admissions. Universities such as MNLU Nagpur, IIULER Goa, and GNLU Silvassa have announced multiple rounds of spot admissions to fill the vacant seats.
