BHU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2020 - The announcement for the eligibility criteria of BHU LLB 2020 will be made tentatively in the second week of February, 2020. BHU LLB 2020 Eligibility Criteria mentions basic information such as the minimum education qualifications, age bar, etc. for admission to law programmes- LLB (Hons.) and BA LLB (Hons.) at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Before filling the application form for Banaras Hindu University Undergraduate Entrance Test (BHU UET), candidates are advised to go through the BHU LLB 2020 eligibility criteria. Referring to the eligibility criteria for BHU UET LLB will assist candidates in analyzing their chances of getting admission into their desired law programme. Any candidate found under qualified as per the stated educational eligibility criteria will be detained from admission process. The education qualifications for the programme are as follows:

Note: Any applicant obtaining 10+2 or Graduation/Post-graduation through open Universities System directly without having any basic qualification to pursue their desired course at Banaras Hindu University will be considered ineligible for admission to any Law course.

BHU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Age Criteria

As per the Supreme Court’s judgment passed in the year 2017, there is no age limit for appearing in BHU UET for Law.

BHU LLB 2020 Eligibility Criteria - Number of attempts

A candidate appearing in BHU LLB 2020 might not qualify in the first attempt. In such cases, irrespective of the age and the number of previous attempts, he/she can appear in the law examination as many times he/she wants to.

It is essential for the candidates to read the eligibility criteria as it helps them to analyze their chances of admission into a law programme and to decide whether to fill the application form or not. Question: If I meet CLAT-specified eligibility criteria, would I automatically become eligible for BHU LLB 2020 as well?


Banaras Hindu University (BHU) releases its own institute-specific BHU LLB 2020 eligibility criteria that candidates have to conform to. Also, these eligibility criteria needn't be  same as those prescribed for CLAT 2020.

Question: Is the eligibility criteria same for BA LLB and LLB program?


No, the eligibility criteria prescribed by BHU is programme-specific. For exam, BA LLB candidates need to have passed 10+2, whereas LLB applicants need to hold BA/BSc/BCom degree. 

Question: What is the minimum aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates?


To be eligible, SC or ST candidates need to score minimum 40% marks in the qualifying exam. 

Question: Will I be disqualified if I don't meet any of the prescribed eligibility criteria?


Yes, if the applicant don't meet all the BHU LLB eligibility conditions, he/she will not be considered for admission.

The eligibility criteria for admission in LLB course in Banaras Hindu University states that the candidates must have a degree of B. A/B. Sc/B. Com with a minimum of 50 percent marks (for General category)  and 40 percent (for OBC and SC/ST candidates). The degree must be recognized by the bar council of India. For B. A LLB, minimum requirement is of passing 12th examination from a recognized board. There is no age limit prescribed for this course.

it is nice to hear your desire to join in the BHU main campus, that's great and coming to the cutoff marks for general category in BHU uet in BSC biological science is 92 marks and if you gain 400 marks then you has a chance to get into the main campus.

NCERT textbooks can prove to be beneficial for the UET exam. The major concepts which are asked in the exam can be covered through it. However,  for the exam practice,  various sample papers can help in building strategies for the exam. Yes, of course you can. BHU UET is conducted in both offline and online mode. It has exam centres all over India. In West Bengal, offline test centres are in Kolkata and Siliguri. And online test centres are in Kolkata, Asansol and Siliguri.
